Restrictor plate, very small pipe from SC to engine...many ways.

I wouldn't, there is a large amount of pressure there, go stand in front of yours and have someone rev the engine.

I"m doing to plumb mine after the filter, intake side.

DAMN RIGHT!!!

No worries on the wheels, I have the tool to take those sensors out and I can get some rubbers for them!

Won't that be dumping hot air into the intake?

Its waste air..it'll be a little warmer, but you wont have any from there if youre into the throttle any at all.

Its a pretty noisy outlet..this helps dampen that.

I have mine set to vent at idle, and steady cruise..otherwise the SC is just whipping up hot air that cant go anywhere...just touch the throttle..closes right up.

But at cruise I would think it would be recirculating and getting hotter all the time. Just asking.

At cruise the SC is making a TON of air, if it doesnt go anywhere, its just whipping around in the SC getting progressively hotter much much faster.

Costs HP for the SC to push air against itself as well, too.

Of course, you don't have to vent it back in, but its not a huge deal..its cleaner...it is noisy to leave it unvented.

First the air is not hot because its not compressed. Yes its warm, and picks up a little heat from the engine compartment and supercharger... but by the time it circulates across the front, through the filters, and mixes with fresh air, it's back to normal temp, as it is moving quite slowly.

This also silences the blow off noise under the hood. People standing in front of the car can still hear a light wooosh from the blow off, but it's quiet in the car

Just to clarify,

By-pass valve, and Blow-off valve commony get interchanged in conversation, and the functions are quite different.

A blow-off valve, which I believe is in this kit, releases pressure from the charge pipe when the throttle is closed abruptly.

A by-pass valve allows any boost created during cruise to be re-routed around the boost tube, back into the intake side of the supercharger. This valve is open when throttle loads are low and closed when throttle loads are high. With the bypass valve open there is no pressure being created across the supercharger. This allows the supercharger to have an almost negligible parasitic loss in this condition. With the bypass valve closed, all airflow is routed through the charge pipe and boost is created in the intake manifold. I don't think Victor's kit has a true by-pass valve from what I have seen on Sean's car.

And adjusting the blow off valve to be open at idle and immediately close right off idle is not a true by-pass valve.

Both the bypass and Blow off valve work on the samp priciples, the BOV is just more adjustable. It is my understanding that a bypass valve is generally used when the MAF is located ahead of the supercharger or turbocharger. If you blow off to atmosphere with either valve, and the MAF is before boost, this will cause the car to go rich. The air must be returned after the MAF, between the MAF and turbo or supercharger to prevent this. Because our MAF is in the stock location, and the valve is in between, it does no affect the Air fuel ratio. Either valve can be used this this case.

I am planning on going to the smaller pulley soon to get even more boost down low. It's a blast to barely touch the gas and actually go somewhere. The second gear runs from 2500 to 3500 rpms are the most fun and I don't feel like I am abusing the car. Victor is working on the best way to set up a restrictor plate to keep the high end boost at a safe level without being IC.

An adjustable restrictor plate to stay in the range from 4 to 7 psi would be pretty cool.

That's called a wastsegate...want no more than 7psi, put in a 7lb spring...

Wastegate is on the exhaust. There are some BOV's that will release at certain pressures and are adjustable. Pop-off valve and adjustable BOV's are used on superchargers to limit intake boost.
