I've been going back and forth on weather to come out to Shartoberfest or not. Initially I was GTG, but then realized my office manager of my real job had Thur and Fri off. That made life a difficult for coming out to Cali. I guess to make a long story short... Does anyone care...haha..?? I can bring out a kit and answer question for people, or I could even do an install if anyone was interested. Give me a shout if your interested, cuz its a long way from home!!! But I'd love to come if there is some interest.

Rob, it is my first SF as well! I can't wait! I have been to LA on business before. I saw the inside of a hotel and conference center mostly...FUN...NOT! This trip should be more fun and I hope the drive is as well! I LOVE driving my 928's long distance, but this will be the farthest by 2X or 3X maybe even!

Well done, it was fun to relive that weekend again. That fun drive was the 'Rim of the World' I was referring to in my previous post. I was off one year.

Actually Rim of the World was a year or two after that. This drive was in the mountains behind Azusa, CA. Not sure the name of the route (if it has one).

Actually I'm pretty sure this was the first ROW ride, Keith mapped it out. The subsequent drives organized by Rob just followed the same route. I have been known to be wrong though...

I would like to take my 928 but I don't want to be away from the shop that long.
Maybe next year.

I'm getting in late tomorrow morning & allowing some time to visit some other vendors & maybe take in some sights.
The weather looks great! Much warmer than here. But of course, it is LA and most places are warmer than Detroit.

Well, I'm in that video and I didn't own my 928 until 2006, so I'm pretty sure it's 2006

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but the video that Nicole has provided is definitely 2006 and the run was Azusa Canyon road to Mt. Baldy road. I'm all over that video and I also didn't have a 928 in 2005. The Post you linked is from 2005 but the thread has been updated.

I was incorrect about the 2006 fun run route. It was the Azusa route referred to, the one where the driver was saved by the berm I did not participate in that one. I linked the 2005 thread as that was the original ROW fun run. Sorry for the confusion.
