I know not all 911 guys are d*ckheads, because quite a few 928 owners in this forum are 911 owners! Imagine, being so open-minded and all. I've even heard that some Porsche guys *like other types of cars too* but you didn't hear that from me.

**** CAMARO??? Seriously ? Wow what an incredible tool! I've got a 77 Z28 and I seem to remember back in the day , eatin' a couple of 911's on the way home from the grocery store, oh dear god, I hope this guy was drivin' one of them! Also I feel that I can say unabashedly that there is NO Camaro in a 928! Thats a comparison between apples and oranges, and proves how limited this guys intelligence is.
lets compare , if you will 80's movie heroes
Weird Science: Gary's Dream Car 928 went home with Kelly LeBrock
Risky Business: Joel's Joyride Car 928 went home with Rebecca DeMornay
Sixteen Candles : Jake's Car 944 (spiritual little brother of the 928) went home with Molly Ringwald (ohh Yeah!!!)
these men were clearly visionaries
guys who drove 911's in 80's movies ....the ******* my friends, the *******!
so in retrospect
You, in your car, a 928, went home with your hot wife (cause hot chicks dig 928's)
Mr. Porsche went home alone and cried himself to sleep on the huge pillow it takes to hold up his gigantic head because he is a ******!
Long Live The NINE TWO EIGHT!!

That guy would be a jerk regardless of what car he owns.

Stopped in a local watering hole with the wife for a few. She recognizes a guy that worked in her group 15 years ago. Small talk, what you doing now, etc, etc and the guy says he's Mr. Porsche, owned 30 of them, been building, racing, teaches competitive driving and all that. Wife says "he's got a Porsche too, it's a 928!" Mr. Porsche snickers and says "Nah I never owned a **** Camaro."
I don't know enough about the details of 911 vs 928 racing if there even are any but the guy was a smug ****.
Any tips for next time I see the guy? At least the guys here are helpful. Whats the deal??

I've recently met some pretty nice 911 owners at a recent run. They were very informative and seemed to be nice and interested in the 928 and cars in general. This guy you met was obviously set in his 911 ways. Boxer enginer, better handling, better then a Lambo.. blah blah blah...
When people say they ride bikes, then they say Harley, I sorta cringe. So to me its just preference. When I run into people that are into cars, I appreciate that they are into cars.
So basically what I'm saying is, that guy's an ***.

There is one guy in the local PCA that referred to me as a teenage camaro driver when I roared up to a cars and coffee event revving it up to be obnoxious. He has never owned any sports car except 911 and boxsters. Most of the core PCA group that drive 911s have been around a while and have owned a 928 in the 80s recognize mine for the nice example that it is and tell me they love the sound.
Since my 928 is a GTS, I think it would be fun to also have a red Cayenne GTS.

I'm sure I've given this same exact impression to 911 owners (that 928 owners are dicks) once or ten times. I'm not sorry for it either. It's who I am. And in the world of car rivalry, there's always room for some one-upsmanship.
I invariably reduce the 911 to a VW bug. I tell them if it ever fails to start, look for the primer bulb, press it about 5 times then pull on the t-handle several times until it starts. They all know they're driving a heavily modified bug and it gets them each time.
I have to say though, if someone called my 928 a **** Camaro, I'd bust a gut and give them props. That's a creative assassination of our cars if I ever did hear one.
