I heard that Devek used lower gearing for better acceleration at the track. This gave him a better multiplication of torque because that is the most important measure of power and acceleration.
I also believe he used Mobil 1 oil in his strokers because Amsoil wasn't up to the task.
This was in his S3 OB with S spoilers and a 32V stroker.
How's that??
Paging Mr. Kibort....

and you can see where that got him??
proud devek days participant, test racer of the "white car" and demo mule, enging bulder student graduate, and not to forget, 928 cheerleader.
If it wasnt for devek, i would only be racing on skis and by foot . damn him and you guys for the addiction!!!

Yeah, I've got a DEVEK Days photo somewhere taken from a rooftop looking down on all our cars lined up to create a big "20" for the 928's 20th anniversary in 1998.

Actually Jay Kempf was the originator of the OB term. It stands for Old Bugger and not Old Bastard and applies to the 78-79 cars. Jay owns a 79.

Gezus you guys are entirely too uptight about the OB, so henceforth, all OB's pre-78 will be referred to as DGJs (Dan, Glens, and James) since you left those out.

Ahh yes, I've been to DEVEK Days. In 2001, one year after I got my GT, I drove from Phoenix and was halfway between L.A. and San Francisco when my LH brain went out. Marc Thomas was gracious enough to leave the Friday evening DEVEK Days welcome reception and drive down to Kettleman City at 1:30 in the morning with a spare LH (compliments of Louie Ott) to save me. We made it back to San Francisco at 4:30 am Saturday morning. I was a bit fuzzy for the days activities and I'm sure Marc was too, but had a great time.
I have much respect and appreciation for what Marc did. And those DEVEK catalogs with all those cool parts for 928's were leading edge at the time.

I see now. You think you're being "funny" by trolling. Only trolls find trolls to be funny.
