Thanks guys. I was able to hold a tighter lines than before, and was able to take different lines in the corners than I am used to because of the improvements in this kit. The video shows all kinds of lines I used when driving in traffic - and I was able to hold them all.
I would say I had a little understeer at corner-out, but attributed that to the fact I was already in the throttle and pushing as I came out the corners. We found 1.4 seconds a lap at Putnam Park by tweaking air pressures and sway bar settings. I am sure there is at least that still to be had in toe settings and other track-time experiments.

The car seems very settled....I think the bouncy camera I have is mostly camera issues, since the ride doesn't feel that bad too me.... Your suspension seems very stuck as well....you don't get loose very often.....clearly room for faster laps once you are "pushing it"....
I can't wait to see Anderson in this car.....It will help your development of the suspension by a mile too...
Looks like you won your class......did you finish 1st overall? Was there any built 911's that you had too battle with for the overall win? It seems like lots of spec E30's and Spec 944 with a couple E36 in there....none of which are remotely close to your 928....

Last year when I was at Mid-Ohio a 911 Turbo that would have been in GTSU was in SU (Super Unlimited) instead to be with the Thunder cars.
GT is the "Storm" group while the ST/SU class are in the "Thunder" group.
There is a twin turbo Mustang that laps Road America in the 2:14 range in SU Carl could play with by moving to that class in October.

It seems very fast compared to 150 HP 944s which lap at about the same times as a stock USA 1980 model 928. Note how ALL the "passing" takes place in the straights and I have to wonder about the editing but even then one 911 dives inside in a corner. I see questionable lines and often being in the wrong gear as well as very timid when it comes to passing in the corners. Given that this is a "commercial" for suspension you can only wonder why the spec BMW and 944s are driving away in the corners only to get beaten in the drag race down the straights
It will be interesting IF Anderson or someone with his experience drives this car. Engine sounds great ! Not sure however that I would like having 2 1/2 gallons of boiling oil in the cockpit with me !!
Am I impressed ? Not really.

5th on the start finish straight, downshift to 4th and floor it at turn 1, brake hard, down to 3rd at turn 2, floor it and keep a very tight exit at turn 3 as you have try to get to the right asap for turn 4 which was offcamber 3rd or 4th gear as its a very important corner leading to the short straight for 5 which is taken on 3rd. Then its a easy ride to turn 7 where I remember that my fastest exit was taking it on 2nd gear. In this video the driver stays on 4th?. Then I remember fondly on the almost continues left hander following that I loved that corner and taking it right I would drift all the way to the right and 2 wheels on the patch that is a crossing the track to the right. That i remember was really cool and getting it right very satisfying.
At any rate i really dont like critiquing that much as I'm no Senna myself and the fact that he is racing and Im not tells a lot, so my hats off to him.
Still judging suspension performance where in my brain was not really put to a hard test, I think I cant really tell if its successful or not.
I must say this though that turn 9 and 10 is pretty bumpy, not as bad as turn 17 or 1 at Sebring, but bumpy and from the video the composure/rebound does look pretty good.
Just my 02 on this.

Some of you guys need to remember this is the first race with the car setup like this and possibly Carl's first trip to Putnum Park.

It was my second event on this suspension, and my first trip to Putnam Park - never been there before. Yes, some of the M5's are very fast, and two of them were way faster than i. I had them on the straight but they had me on the rest of the course. Local drivers (good ones too) that really knew their home track.
I was not the fastest car there that day. Never said I was. Even included some times I got passed in the video just to make that point.
Then there is my desire to get to Bonneville again this year - so I will not make a stupid pass when I can wait a moment and make a cleaner, safer pass in a just a few moment longer. This was not a national points race or anything, so there was no cause to shove my nose in and make high-risk passes at each opportunity when I could make a low-risk pass just the same in just a little further. I was already in first place in my class (as I was the only car in the Unlimited Division) so those BMW's - although they were on the track at the same time as I, were having a different race than I was. Passing them meant nothing to my score.
My goal here was answering those who said the suspension would "clank" and not function. Those that commented earlier that the suspension was untested (it was). And for those reasons, we were at Blackhawk Farms and Putnam Park. To test and setup the new suspension. Each time out I would get a little more aggressive, and we would come back in, check the telltales for suspension travel, make adjustments, and go back out again - and drive yet more aggressive again. Cautiously and methodically ramping it up. I believe you can see that in the video - slower at first, more confident and more aggressive as the day wore on. That isn't accidental.
Its hard to keep your testosterone in check and remember what your goals were when you came to the track.. but I did. I stayed true to my objectives, avoided overly-risky passing, and brought the car home in one piece.

The car looked to be very well planted and stable on the track the caution you were exercising was very obvious. It makes sense considering your ultimate goal of Bonniville.

Some of those e30-series Bimmers were all tail-happy in front of me, as you probably saw.
It just didn't lend a lot of confidence that if I took one of them on the outside they wouldn't slide up the corner and take me with them!
The important thing was getting some good track-time in. Our lap times were getting better by more than a second a day as we dialed in the tire pressures, shock rates, ride heights, and more. There is more to go for sure, but we know we are on the right track (pun intended).
