I assume you picked the GTS up very cheap, what a find with those miles. You're very lucky, rare car to find.

If the scratches are limited to hood, front fenders and doors, ie stuff you can remove prior to asking for quotes,
you will get very good prices to respray these items. Black will match.

Hope that nitwit didn't scratch the roof or rear quarters.

"I hate cops" seems a very odd thing to scratch into a Porsche, i suspect an insurance fraud scenario there.. (done by PO for cash)

Matt

My 2 cents...
That car is a beauty. Do whatever it takes to rescue it and keep it alive. There aren't too many of these on the road anymore. If you don't want to keep it, let me know I may be interested in taking it off your hands and restoring it a bit at a time. Do you have a price in mind? Will PM you for info.

I go to Sioux Falls all the time and called the previous owner a few days after it was sold. I was kicking myself for not looking at it sooner but I felt better when I learned Victor picked it up.

Drove the car quite a few times last summer. Car runs great, but definately needs a full paint job or wrap Also needs a few small things here and there... speakers, front shocks, tires ect. I replaced the whole passenger door, FPR & dampers, fuel pump, fluids ect...

The car is sold ( although only deposit recieved ) for a fair number and he wants me to deliver it supercharged. If anything changes I will le you all know.

Didn't the '93's come with the weaker connecting rods and should not be supercharged?

We discussed this car Saturday at our Austin GTG and decided we'd have to assess a penalty if James has two black GTSs ... but then agreed we'd let him off the hook by wrapping either or both of the '93 and '95 ...

I have the same rods in my 968 and have researched this quite a bit. There are actuallly very few failures of these rods either supercharged or not. Would I put in 10psi and go out racing with these lighter rods. No, but I would feel just fine putting in a low boost kit that is tuned well for a little extra kick of usable street power. Supercharging is great for low end street torque just as much as it is for top end redline HP.

I boosted the gts with with original rods to 7.5 psi with the raptor from carl at 928 motorsports and made a shade over 400 at the wheels...drove 5000 miles and when engine removed the only issue was the water pump had ground into the block...gotta get that fixed still.

Those rods would handle any supercharger kit we make without a problem,. I have supercharged many GTS's, We have had no rod failures.

Make sure the engine is in good health (do a compression check first) and have at it.
