You will be LUCKY if the CD2 even works if you get it unlocked frankly! Most all of them are TOAST by now! If it does work, don't expect that to last long.

You might be better off with a CDR220 out of a Boxster! They look PERFECT in the 928 and you can even get a cable from SW Stereo to plug an iphone or ipod in to the Aux input (can't control that from the head unit though unfortunately).

Default latest pics and info

Hey guys .... here are some new pics, and info on what Barney needs. I still have not officially decided what to do with the car. Weather to fix it up myself or let someone else handle it. All I know for sure is that it runs great and I will not part it out. At this point I am not apposed to selling it, if your interested, here is what it needs.

Engine comp...
Hood shocks, Ac pulley (current one is bent, pump seams ok} new fresh air tubes, I have old ones but they are starting to detiorate. fuel injectors cleaned or replaced, they work ok, but idles a little rough.

Body...
front spoiler, trim around rear passenger window, door window trim, lower and center external door trim. I have door mirror, and it works well, but needs patching and paint. Fuel door, center tail reflector.

inside...
rear passenger inside quarter trim, deck shocks, dash and pod have small cracks, pass door main panel cover is shot, pass back lower seat cushion. All other seat and interior parts are quite good, they just need a good cleaning and some softening with Lexol.

other / misc...
Tires are dry rotted, wheels are good with just a few scrapes. obviously it needs a paint job. Engine and tranny run well, and it goes down the highway very nice and quiet with the tires from my other car.

I have a video of car running, headlights up/down, and burn out. will try to post it

None of my cars will lay down a pair of black marks like that...probably the dry rotted tires! If I didn't have two project 928's on my plate right now, I'd take the car off your hands...seriously!

Default Quick Follow Up

I am happy to report that I found this in the mail when I got home from vacation. Yes it's a clear Michigan title. Obviously it will never have a clean history, but having a good title is a huge.

Personally I would like to keep it the stock paint code
Do the all the grunt work youself you will cut that paint job bill in half. Removing it and putting it back together is where the major labor is at. Its not hard to do just label everything.

If you do part it I'm local and wouldn't mind picking up a few things.

no worries, I am way past parting it out. The car runs great, drives nicely, and it has cleaned up pretty well. The only major item now is the paint.
