Hell, in 3 years you'll be ready to sell it and rake in some $$$$.

Two thoughts here.

First. If this particular state does not have an equivalent to a COD then they simply won't recognize it and issue the normal title. Colorado for example does not even title anything with a salvage title after 6 years old. Gets a normal title.

Second. Part of the VIN inspections process is kind of an inspection to show that it is a road going car with no obvious faults that would prevent it from being registered in the state. Which he already passed.

So I worked on the car for a couple of hours tonight. First I had to straighten out the front wheels cuz some bonehead bent one of the tie rods. After getting the front end aligned I started it up, but it soon died.... no fuel pressure..... pump not turning. Pulled the pump and got some dried up chunks of gas our of it. Put the pump back in and she fired right up. After a couple trips up and down the road and its warmed up a bit, I figure its time to let it breath and test it out. So I light up the back tires and let her rip through a couple of gears. Apparently the PSD is working well because it was sideways all the way through first gear. I thought there was a lot of tire smoke but I have a feeling it was just smoldering mice parts blowing out the exhaust as it did not smoke much at all when I turned around and did the same thing coming back the other way.

So all in all a pretty good day, but now I have a new to do list, as driving the car tonight pointed out a couple issues. First I will have to pull the rear wheels because it sounds like the parking brakes are falling apart. Second is to pull the injectors, one of them seems to be partially clogged. It idles well but when you get on it you can feel the engine struggle a little.

So what do you think, should I end this thread and start a BRINGING THE GTS BACK FROM THE GRAVE thread???

Cole,
That makes sense. I don't think RI requires a title at all for cars over a certain age. All that is needed is a bill of sale, I think.

Uhhh, sideways would indicate PSD is not working, but I chalk that statement to adrenalin. Ought to flush it though. Glad she shows evidence of "lighting in a bottle"

Well, that all also depends on where you have the steering wheel pointed.

I've taught driving skills for 20ish years and you would be surprised by the amount of time some of these drivers *think* the wheel was pointed straight.

My 928S4 was hanging the rear end out a bunch yesterday for some reason

Seems there was just the right combination of song, road, throttle and flick

Default BARNEY RUBBLE

It is 12am eastern time the weather is warm in Michigan today and Barney is going to drive me home. Yes Barney has arisen form the Rubble and will soon stand beside the elite 928 cars and be pround to call himself a GTS.

I worked on the car for quite a few hours tonight... Put the door back together, and gave it somewhat of a tune up, and a few other things. It is running well and pulling strong!! It definitely needs new tires, but I do not live far from my shop. Besides I will probably just smoke the rubber off them tomorrow on the way to work since they are no good

Looking and running better every day, but I could use help with a couple things.
1st.. Does anyone have a line on radio codes? It is currently locked up and wont work without a proper code
2nd.. any one now why the fans are running all the time? They seam to kick in only a few minutes after a cold enige start, then continue to run nonstop whenever the ignition is on

Fix that GTS up, it is the cream of the crop of 9-2-8s. No one will notice that scribble on the front fenders. Wash it up get it running and polish it then drop it on someone who is willing to pay the premium for a GTS and they can paint it to get rid of the graffiti on it.

What the heck is wrong with key marks?

Of course mine aren't as verbose as yours. Keep it, or ship it this way. Parting that out would be a shame.

The GTS HVAC control unit has a "recirculate" setting where the earlier cars have an "Off" setting. In recirculate, the fans run - at least on my S4 with a GTS control head.

Move the slider over one setting

I think the OP was talking about the cooling fans at the radiators.
