The new Porsche price list came into effect early this month. At around 2% across the board not to bad. However as I update prices in our system I am seeing some horendous increases on 928 parts that will hurt us all.

Center Flap Actuator 928 574 079 06 increased to $124 ( The replacement vacuum diaphragm at $50 looks cheap now).
Transmission Mounts 928 375 045 16 doubled to $255 each

I am sure I will find more 8>(

OTOH this type of parts cost creep is going to total more cars in increasingly minor accidents.

Unless they had them in stock they will lose a lot of money on the deal - snooze you lose - good for you.
Price increase took effect at 1-1-12 even though we did not receive the update till a week later.
A price increase is a nightmare for a supplier like us - with way over 30,000 parts updating prices takes time. An across the board increase is easy to deal with but individual increases higher than the norm are hard to spot.

Clutch shafts jumped to $500. I guess it's time to have those made now.
