Default Is this the famous Bob Devore racer??

Couldn't sleep last night so i was trolling the internet looking for 928 **** and came across this pic. I recall someone was selling what was believed to be the Bob Devore, of Devek fame, race car on ebay, and was wondering if anyone here bought it and was this it's current status?

Wow! Sure looks like it.

If that's it, it went through quite a restoration. It was all apart last time it popped up for sale a year or two ago.

Yes, that looks like "Maverick's" place and I see his name on the tail.

Sorry about that. I debated whether I should post the link.

That's a shame this piece of 928 history ended up in his hands.

Devek to Maverick, something of an arc.

Seems like a lot of freedom to speculate on what he has or hasn't done without a lot of facts or at least all of the facts. I refuse to make a judgement on anybody based on internet hearsay.

Fact is he has a lot of nice and unusual 928's, many with unique ideas, and most pretty nice. This race car looks great and for many years previously was a bunch of parts, that kind of speaks for itself.

BTW I thought you S4 guys like big butts?

All I can think about the girls in auto erotica is hearing Santa saying Ho Ho Ho. Big-*** knarly butt on that one, and now my eyes are starting to bleed. Save your self...do not look except at your own risk!

Maverick has some really nice cars... When you don't actually pay for the cars you can afford to really make them look nice! Ugh... slandering an upstanding 928 owning citizen again. I just can't help myself. Anyone with a current and growing RAP sheet 3+ pages long deserves derision.

Upon further investigation I came upon this site which claims he built this car for the TexasMile race? Anyone familiar with this or seen it run there? 1100 horsepower sounds a bit optimistic, no? I think it only has Bob Devore fenders and may not be the actual car.

Umm......the aero of that car is MUCH WORSE than a stock narrow body 928.......I doubt it will even come close to the speed of Carls narrow body car.....

Wouldn't it be nice to get some info on that 1100 hp, 988ft/lb of torque 16v engine?

Note the name change, Maverick Marsellis is now going by Maverick Mann.
