Are you absolutely sure it had a new water pump from a reputable source and not just a timing belt replaced? If there was a new pump supplied by 928 Intl or 928 Motorsports then I doubt that would be a problem unless some chump tightened the belt way too much. Was the belt changed by a reputable 928 mechanic or a back street hack?

New belts on old pumps = trouble- well proven 928 fact. Impellers can and do come off the shaft - classic water pump failure- shaft rotates but no pump action.

Before dreaming up costly scenarios suggest you pressure test the coolant system and the radiator cap at a workshop to ensure it is holding pressure. When operating at correct pressure the hoses should feel firm.

The plastic end tank on the radiator is a known weak spot- however if that has failed [yo say it is now leaking- yes?] then the system should not be able to pressurise correctly and the coolant will boil.

Welcome ot the club!

Regards

Fred

Typical leaking end tank. The system can not hold pressure so it overheats - very common.

Some radiator shops can replace that tank or you can buy a rebuilt radiator from 928 International.

If I replace the end cap , would it be reliable or just temporary fix?

What you said makes a lot of sense , so I will get my end tank fixed and Check if the pump is working . Do you know what pressure the cooling system reaches because the hoses get Really hard like trying to squeeze a ripe apple.

Passenger side? It's usually the driver side that leaks first.

You can buy a replacement end tank and seal from 928 International or 928sRUS - but I don't recommend you do the job yourself.

I've done it and it is a real bitch.

First step for you is to remove the radiator and find a local shop that can replace the end tank. They can probably get the correct parts as this is a common part for many radiators on the market.

Depending on how much they are going to charge you, ou might be better off buying a re-manufactured radiator from 928 International. Check their website for pricing.

Even with a leaking end tank you won't have that much of an over heating issue. With the amount of water you are losing at the expansion tank, the system is not flowing water correctly. This sounds like either there is a clog in the system or your water pump is not any good. Check your records and see if the pump used was a cheap *** $100.00 one. There is a reason most companies will not sell that rebuilt pump.

I agree, doubt it is that end tank that is the problem here.
The end tank may very well be a symptom of the problem though, IE high cooling system pressures.
