Sounds like an air bubble or the water pump is not pumping.
Did you just change the coolant?

Is the radiator hose by the thermostat housing and the driver side, lower corner, of the radiator cold? If yes, the water pump is not pumping (impeller came loose) OR the thermostat is not openning.
When you put a new thermostat in it, did you change the rear gasket and did you test the old thermostat to see if it's working?
To me, sounds like you have a coolant circulation problem.

i changed the thermostat but the rear gasket in the housing was good because the previews thermostat was only a year old, and thats what i was thinking that it got stock but yea that hose that goes to thermostat housing is cold and and now i have a leak at the left (passanger side) plastic radiator end tank, once the engine reaches operating temp the presure makes it leak, do you think it might be headgasket? oil pressure seems good , no power loss, temp seems to stay at 3 bar

I guess to find out if the water pump is working, remove one of the upper hoses and see if coolant gets pumped out when you start the car. Do this when engine is cold. Is the cap a factory BEHR or auto-zone variety.
Do you know what kind of pump the PO used?

If its the pump , would it make some noise or anything? I don't understand how it can just stop pumping if it's belt. Driven , most parts were used from 928 international and 928 motorsports
