.....not a very good photo however. This is the only pic of this car I have ever seen. Wish there were more!

I have actually seen this car in person
It was looked after my old mechanic, Mike Callas in Sealy TX. She is a beauty and the owner is the dad of a Rennlister.
Gorgeous 928

You surely meant elusive right Chuck? I don't think you mean the car is illusive. Of course you could mean illusive if you mean the Latin base of the word illudere which means an illusion because the car never seems to show up anywhere and the sightings are hard to confirm. Or you could mean illusive because the Latin word illus (mocked) could describe the owner taunting us with the rare showings and then running away thus mocking our lust for clear pictures of this car.

Just sayin'

Chuck,

Was that picture taken in Houston?

Tony (lives in Katy west of Houston, bought Troy's S4, not on RL) has a son that saw the yellow car a few months ago. He knows now to get a picture next time.

Danny,

First time I have heard of any connection to RL. Surprised the son hasn't posted any info since there have been several threads about the car over the years.

Well.. I should have said ex Rennlister as his son has not been active on RL for quite a long time since he sold his 911. Great guy indeed and a good friend back then. I do remember though, having a conversation with him about the 928 and my impression is that the owner is not too keen on publicity. So no wonder there is not much more info in public.
When I saw the car and it has been a few years now, it was better than mint. It looked absolutely fantastic, it kind of fueled my infatuation with the 928's. Simply a stunning car.

Chuck,

The forum post where you got the pic says "Barker Cypress and I10", that's far west Houston, consistent with most other sitings I know about.

As I've said before, happy to take some high quality photos if it can ever be worked out.

I saw it when the son was borrowing it while his 911 was in the shop for a bit. I was busy running the Concours event that day and didn't have time to take pics of the car. It was dirty and the son was NOT FRIENDLY to me... Nor any of the other 928 owners I might add...

The day that car comes up for sale there will be a frenzy - big time.
My all time fav colour.
