And, for the record, I'm out of the AILD-1s at the moment. Ran out of PCBs, so I'll order some more and try to get more units built by the first or second week of March.

I think that depends on your definition of "fine".
It will work in that the LED's will come on, you will however find the dimming range is now extremely non-linear, and likely dims differently for each type of LED you use. If you can live with that it may indeed be fine for you. It won't dim in the same manner or as much as the incandescents did though - LED's just work differently - since the current is much lower the rheostat won't drop enough volts to make much difference. If you didn't change ALL the variable illumination bulbs to LEDs (e.g. in the console etc) it will work better, if you did change them all - it won't work well at all... but if you always like them to be quite bright it may not matter much to you.
