Default Cup II's wanted.

Like the title implies, I'm looking for a nice set of Cup II's for a customer. No cracks, no bent wheels.....sell those on ebay. They need to be nice. If you have singles...due to one being damaged, I can probably make that work, also.

Also are you looking for the GTS offset fronts or will the 993 fronts work?

Not sure. That offset thing, with the width in inches and the center dimension in millimeters pisses me off so much that I refuse to ever think about it. I know internal engine dimensions and torque specifications by heart....but wheels...that's so stupid.

They are going onto an '86...What do I need?

17x 7.5 front 52ET
17x9 rear 47ET

That is what you will want for that car and that is available.

Greg,Here is a seemingly nice set on CLLA. I would be happy to check them out for you and drive them down (if they check out) as I need to get some stuff from 928I. http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst...525551452.html

IIRC the 993 Cup II's are 55mm offset front and rear.

Cool. Those would be perfect, if they are the correct widths.

I just sent an email to the ad address asking for widths, offsets and location in LA. I will send a PM when he/she responds.

There is another set for $400 in 7's and 9's, but they are painted black satin. I could check those out too.

968 17-in wheels are 7.5" ET 55 in front and 9" ET 52 in back. Fronts have a little less offset .... GTS 17s are ET 65, so lose 13 mm and some negative scrub radius.

Rears are closer, GTS 17s in back are ET 55.

Here is a pic of Cup II's, at least what I think of when I imagine Cup II's

Wheels = Front -7.5x17 / Rear - 9x17
Offset = Front - 65mm / Rear - 55mm
Tires = Front - 225/45 17 / Rear - 255/40 17

These are what I got off CL -- $350. They're replicas a guy used on his Boxster -- bought them from Tire Rack a while back. Work nicely IMO.

Yup. That's it.
