There is another set for $400 in 7's and 9's, but they are painted black satin. I could check those out too.
Sure, let's find out, altough it looks like the offsets on a 944 are fairly different.

Tires = Front - 225/45 17 / Rear - 255/40 17
Yep, what he said.

Porsche part#'s for OE wheels:
Front 7.5x17 ET65 = 993 362 124 05
Rear 9x17 ET55 = 993 362 128 00

The 7.5" ET65 fronts are hard to find, most are 7" ET55 (part# 993 362 124 00). Those are too narrow, in my opinion, for a 928. That said, I have two for sale for anyone with a different opinion.

Factory wheels will all have the width and offset cast on either side of the tire valve, and the part# will be cast on the inside of one of the spokes.

There were also aftermarket wheels made by Mille Miglia in the same style. Our GT had 7.5x17" ET52 and 9x17" ET47 with 225/255 rubber, they worked fine. The width and offset are cast on the inside, with nothing next to the valve stem. We now have a set of MM 18" Cup-II's, 8x18" ET52 front and 10x18" ET47 rear, 235/265 rubber and just about max'ed on the outside.

Greg, I also have two 9x17 ET55 (993 362 128 00) wheels here, one belongs to Dan to replace the one that he kindly loaned us, the other is available if that helps.

Cheers, Jim

968 wheels were exactly the same as '94/'95 GTS with 7.5" et65 fronts and 9" et55 rear.

I have a set of OEM Front 7.5x17 ET65 and Rear 9x17 ET55 , but needs refinishing. use it for awhile then dismount the tires to get it ready to ship out, but got lazy and they are sitting in boxes now. Anyone interested, let me know.

I love the cup II's.....by far the best looking factory 928 wheel EVER..... There are lots of 18"+ options now that also look great....but the 17" cup II ROCKED....

Greg, The guy selling them on CL has not returned my email. In the meantime, I found another quality set for you from a friend. PM sent.

Gregg,
I have a set of the VERY RARE 8" et 70 cup II wheels that are ideal as fronts for a 928 (86.5+ MY). These allow a wider front tire, while keeping the centerline of the wheel/tire in the same location as the OE 7.5" et 65 wheels of the GTS's. I'd need $550 plus shipping for these (good appearance, NO damage, very slight rash on one, probably a 7.5-8 appearance) plus shipping.

I also have a set of essentially perfect front 7" cup II's from the front of a 993. $200 for the pair, plus shipping.

the original GTS front offset is 65 mm.
The MM wheels are very heavy.
