I have rebulit fuel dis., new fuel pump and filer, cleaned and or replace any old fuel lines, pulled tank andd flushed along with removing the internal fule pump and also cleand sender and replaced the return line.

The car will run great otherwise and some days won't do it at all.

Since you've hit all the fuel related issues I'd have guessed (filter, flushed sock?)... I suspect engine wire harness ground point..... some where.

I meant the fuel strainer screen (sock) in the fuel tank - may be full of crud, but if you changed the pump and filter, I would have guessed you cleaned the screen/sock?

I would look at: plug wiring, green wire, and electrical supply to pump. It sounds electrical and there is not much of that involved in keeping a CIS car running.

Hey Steve
I'm sure you know this, but remember that just because you recently replaced something does not mean it is good. I learned this lesson many times the hard way. Now, when I have a new problem crop up my first question is 'what is the last thing I changed?'.
