IMHO if a 928 is road worthy, drive it! Who cares what the paint looks like? Driving any 928 is a privilege many don’t get to experience. Sure they are fun to look at, but they are even more fun to drive.

A father son outing and first SITM should make for a great experience. I'm sure you both will have a good time! First times should remember to bring sun screen and warm clothes since it can be cool in the mountains even in June.

Please forgive the noob question, but this will be my first SITM. Just picked up another 928 and I'm sorting it out. I imagine I'll need a part or 12. Will 928 Specialists be selling any of its wares at this event? I've been watching the other thread with rapt attention re: other vendors coming. Not looking for a swap meet, but there's some stuff I already know I need (like a chin spoiler, for example).

First off I am glad you are coming to SITM this year...you are going to have a BLAST (guarantied or your money back :-) !!!

With the exception of Thor, or a Million Dollar Weekend Rental with Jeannie, everything here is for sale, make an offer.... J/K (sort of) :-)

Seriously, we do not sell parts at the main event on Saturday. If anyone needs something they can come by on Sunday during the picnic at our place and we will be glad to help you then. I am trying to plan for some cool specials on that day, including a pile of FREE used 928 parts that anyone needs or wants.... heck bring a big azz truck and make me an offer on all of my used and/or new parts , ha, ha :-) Things have gotten so unorganized here in the past few years the best way I know to get it straightened out to sell everything and start fresh organizing once again.

If you have some specific needs it is best to order it before hand and we can have it ready for pickup when you arrive, or you can come by the shop on the Friday before to pick it up. Large items like chin spoilers make perfect sense for this due to the shipping cost related to their size.

With the new location we do not make it back to our place from Friday afternoon until Sunday mid-morning for the picnic. We now stay at the hotel all weekend and party with everyone else. They only person that will be here over the weekend is not the person you would want to try and get parts from..his job is just the opposiste, to make sure eveything stays here. :-)

We also try to bring emergency parts with us to the event in case it is needed there...(fingers crossed they are not needed :-)

If you have a specific list please give us a call and we will do our very best to have everything waiting for you at the Hotel.

Yes it was a "High Point" to finally get Hacker to SITM. I am bummed he and Lorelei can't make it this year....well more bummed Lorelei can't make it then Hacker, it's a "DNA" thing and she is so fun and HOT. :-)

When Hacker told me he couldn't make it this year I said bummer, BUT can Lorelei come without him? :-)
