Hey DR! A the risk of starting a 'Class war' here, what's the chance of roping off an area up near the Brick oven on Beech mountain just for GTS's? I'll help out in getting them into the corral if necessary. We did it at a OCIC about 6 yrs ago and it was pretty neat picture shoot.

I think you may find that GTs are the rarer breed this year... thus "worthier" of their own section.

DR, any idea of the headcount this year? Seems like it would be fairly large with the hotel selling out so quickly...

Then the modded cars with GTS rear quarters? should have their own little section, even rarer than the GT's.
How about the Roger box to Right box guys?

Damn I keep going and I am going to be in a little box by myself, maybe I can go hang out with the OB guys, they got better looking front ends anyway.

That is a great idea!!! BUT, only if we (maybe you?? :-) do it for ALL 928 models. IMHO each and every model of 928s are just as special as the others. So if we do it for one model, we should do it for all.

IF you would like to volunteer to head up a group of about 6-8 guys/gals that can be at the event about 8am, then direct all the different 928 models to the correct areas until 11 or so as most arrive...then it just might work.

I have a nice map of the downtown area and we can work out the placement for the different models. We can also get info from the registrations to get a close idea of how many of each model are coming to gauge the area needed for each group.

Give me a call if you seriously want to persue it...just make sure you have some "cool headed patient" people to help you. Trust me, these guys arrive so pumped up and excited to the event, trying to get them to calm down and listen to parking directions ...is a lot like herding cats...IN HEAT...LOL :-)

Hmmmm.. I wondered how long it would be before the "SITM Kinky Talk" would start..of course it is no surprise who would probably start it. :-)

DR... I'd be happy to try and organize getting the cars into their respective 'classes'. I propose the following:

Classes
928
928S
928S4
928GT
928GTS
928 open parking (modified, one off, or those considered most worthy)

1. I would like one rep from each class to handle that class.
2. If we can get a chart of the area, that would be great
3. If we can get # of cars each grouping... most excellant
4. On arrival Friday afternoon at BW, we'll meet and set parking areas either by charts or actually going up there and laying out the intended areas. I'll try and comminicate by email intended parking areas prior to our arrival BW so we hit the ground running.
5. I'll be there at 0800 Saturday to direct different models to respective areas... class reps or volunteers to get them parked once in the area.

DR - it's your party and we're the guests. If this meets w/ yr approval, I'll get it going.

Jere
