Grandfather Mountain is privately owned by some less than amiable folks that offered up a meadow with a couple port-a- potties and some trash cans…that’s about it.
Beech Mountain is a cool little resort town with a Chamber of Commerce that welcomes us with open arms.
The parade up and down the mountain with a "U" turn make it much more fun because everyone gets to see everyone else driving by and waving.

Unfortunately that wedding party and a few other people that reserved some rooms are messing up things for us at the moment.
If we hear of any amount of rooms coming available (beyond the current wait list) we will let you guys know here.
See ya soon!

SITM Hotels
No rooms currently available at the Best Western.
I stayed at a condo/resort place for SITM last year, and will use it again this year. Rooms are about $80 per night, but you get living room, kitchen and bedroom.
Blue Ridge Village
Clicking on two links will get you to the internet booking site.

Ha, Ha, thanks Randy!!
BTW, thanks again for the "tips/tricks" you gave Jeannie over the phone a few weeks ago for some natural alteratives to offset some of my required meds. I had no clue you guys had even talked until she came to me and said try this. For a moment I said WTF..then she said it was your idea to try. Funny, I think I said "Well, if Randy said to try it then I will try it"... LOL
OH, you were right, some of those tips really helped a lot and I am positive they helped me get back into the office sooner vs later. I had gotten stuck in a loop the 2 months or so prior to that. I would start to get better, reduce the prescription amounts so I could once again be human. Then once I started trying to work/function I would suffer a relapse with 1 or 2 days. I had been going thru that cycle from mid-Feb to mid-April. BUT, once I started with your recomendations it seemed to create a "bridge" to help me reduce the meds quicker without another relapse so I could finally come back to work in the last week (so far, so good, knock on wood)....so I can't thank you enough for that!
One of these days we have to figure out how to get you out here for SITM, that would be so cool!!
Thanks again for everything,
Dave

Hahaha that wedding party would have been in for a shocker, hope they all drop and go away. Sounds like they may have made things difficult.
Dave sounds like you're on the right path with everything, awesome!
My daughter already packed all her clothes and stuff. She's counting the days!
See you all soon!!

The wedding party will be brawling and losing to the sharks crews come around 3-4 am. I remember some poor unsuspecting people yelling at us to quiet down at 3 am 3 years ago. By 6 am we were doing AO interpretations across the nose of Mark White's 84 Euro. They obviously lost that battle!

This time the Police might have been part of the issue.

Just kidding you know. Maybe yours hasn't been sent yet or a wrong address or something. Might send a note to one of the emails listed on www.928GT.com or just give them a call at eight two eight 766-9280.
I'm sure they are a little busy, but would want to make sure all newcomers are well informed and felt welcome.
