Does anyone else that is going to SITM geocache? It looks like there are quite a few caches around Banner Elk and up Beech Mtn as well. I think I have a travel bug I will drop off down there as well.

For those of you who don't know geocaching...it's a high tech treasure hunt using GPS. We use billion dollar government satellites to find tupperware hidden in the bush.

So Close yet so far.

Well Unfortunately I am not ging to make SITM this year. I got my shark about 9 months ago, and have been working towards the goal of going to SITM this year. Got most of what I thought I needed to get done finished, but then transmission acted up. It might just be some adjustments, but i doubt it. I live in SC only about 2 hrs away. May try to drive the 911 up there and see you all.. I am so bummed.

Don't sweat it, SITM is about 928 people FIRST..even if they have to drive a 911 to the event... HA, HA.

Oh, and we have a "special" spot for 911 parking so no need to worry about that either.



FYI, bring some nose plugs..the garbage from all the dumpsters surrounding the "911 parking area" starts to stink pretty badly in the afternoon!

Well, at least I can drive on some wonderful mt roads. Got the PCA club doing our assault on Mt Mitchell this weekend. I was hoping to run the 928, and Yes Mark and I are good friends. He has help me out many a time. Nice to have that resource when you are doing a resto...

I will see if I can make it.. I just hate that I want have the 928 there...

Outside vehicles are generally accepted... ask me how I know. I think this will be the fourth consecutive year I will be leaving the 928 at home. Come anyway, its a blast.
