Default GTS gone to the dyno. chart on page 2

Okay, Tomorrow is dyno day to get a pre-cam upgrade base line on my GTS.

The dyno is a Dynojet 248c

Anything special I should do or know and what gear do I have them make the pulls in?

Make sure its a left-hand dyno, so the SAE corrections come out right.

*runs & hides*

Id use 4th gear, good luck!

The car will be pointing East when on the dyno.

No no, west is best

Good luck and post up the results. Make sure that the flappy is working too.

You can do 4th, or 3rd. Try third and if it revs too fast to get good numbers then do it in 4th.

Absolutely, more ram-air effect in the prevailing winds.

Amsoil flows better facing west too.

What shop are you using? I may want to lay down some new numbers myself.

Ask them if they could please tweak the dyno with the Hurricaine Katrina settings.

Also be careful how they strap down the rear. Some of the parts back there will bend...
That's why I have Bill check it out before we run.

My favorite 928 Motorsports product- No bendies, and the dyno operators loved it. Also convenient for tying down carcasses on a flatbed truck...

do it in 4th. there is really no reason to do it in 3rd, because there will just be about 5hp less hp, due to deeper gearing vs 4th

make sure they have a cooling fan and start all of your runs with the same kind of pedal timing, as you go WOT, as well as start at the same RPM too. I usually just start at 3000rpm, because I could care less about anything prior.

Jarrod - Alternative Motorsports on Reno.

Have - X-pipe, sport cats, RMB, air pump disconnected, tuned with adj FPR but no shark tune.

The dyno is a Honda shop, the owner has a 1000+ hp Civic Drag Car...Maybe I could have them put one of those Vortec stickers on it for more power?
