^^^Correct. Tremec is mde in Mexico. Tremec was Borg Warner then bought out by Tremec. The ZF stuff was in the C4 corvettes from about '89 to '96.
The Tremec stuff works fine, and will take quite a beating. Lots of people think they tend to be notchy, but my corvette shifted very smoothly. Either way, either Tremec is much more capable than the 928 manual transmissions.

If this is a viable option I'll have one installed. It'll take more power than I've ever seen anyone make in a 928. Plus, I'll end up with better gas mileage to boot!

For those not intimately familiar with Corvette transaxles, like me , how do the ratio's compare to a 928 transaxle?
Is the 6th on the Corvette's an overdrive?

That's correct, they are both OD. 6th is only there to bring the MPG up. It's useless untill you hit 120km/h or around 75mph. At 60mph, in 6th the rpms are ~1200, so basically just a bit off idle. Great for long distance cruising but if you want to stay at or near the speed limit (like many of you Americans do), you will hardly go out of 5th.

I could get behind buying one of these kits. I'd convert my Auto S4 over if this was available.
