Default Ford Fuel injectors

I'm looking for a set of 42 lb injectors for a 928. Are these the correct versions?
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-240042/?rtype=10

They have a single offered at $64.95 each and this set at much less. Of course I'm looking for the best price.

I understand I need to get a set of "O" rings from Roger, but need to make sure I get the right injectors.

Thanks all.

Hey I'm looking for a set of those too... guessing we are doing the same project at almost the same time.

Maybe we can place our orders together to save on shipping. Either Hans or I have your PEMs, so we need to hook up anyways. Also, I have a few other minor items (ball joint boot and hatch receiver) to order from Roger.

Not sure why, but typically from what I've read the 42 lb ford we need are green. Then again, Summit’s website says picture is only a representation, not actual photo.

How close are you to being ready to start tuning? I hope to be rolling & tuning around the end of March.

Lots of info on the subject, and not sure we have selected the right ones at Summit:

The ones you want are Ford Motorsports part M-9593-F302, Bosch part 0 280 155 968.

Seems like they are now almost 50% more expensive than when I bought a set 2 years ago. With a 55psi S4 regulator, use 0.85ms for injector opening time.

Perfect, thanks!

It appears that Summit doesn't carry these (the Ford racing version) any longer... They try to substitute the lower impedance versions:

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FM...5&autoview=sku

I guess the right ones have 11-18 ohms and the wrong ones are 11-13 ohms.

Looks like Ford Motorsports part M-9593-F302, Bosch part 0 280 155 968 agrees with what DR, Tony, and John Speake recommended here:

https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...injectors.html

That's good enough for me.

High impedance is above 10 usually, low below 7. Does anyone have contrary info?

I hope to be looking at getting the engine back in (silver automatic) and running with the Murf kit, sometime next month. I'd be willing to go together on injectors to save shipping. just let me know. I want to make sure we get the right ones, of course.

Hey Rod,

I checked on the Fords Dan posted above and the shipping cost is already included in the price so we should go on our own there. I'm waiting on a call back from Roger on the O rings and other stuff. We could save you a little on that part.

Since our setups are pretty similar so should our tunes. Muncie makes a nice run for data logging. Although, I wouldn’t argue if you want to do yours first

I sent you an email so we can coordinate offline.

Both of those would be considered high impedance. High is about 12 ohm. Low is about 2 ohm.

The difference between those two injectors is probably spray pattern. One is probably split stream and the other is conical. You want split so that you shoot a stream at each valve, rather than putting the majority of it on the port wall between the valves.

Kurt, Did you check on this? Probably a valid consideration.

Thanks for your input about the difference between high and low impedance. I agree that ours definitely require the 'high' ones.

Other than that, I'm not overly concerned with the exact differences between the various versions... it’s possible they might all work just fine. They both have relatively high impedance (>11ohms); however, since the known working ones are cheaper, it's a non-issue for me.

I'm going with Dan, DR, John, and Tony's recommendations which is:

Ford Motorsports part M-9593-F302, Bosch part 0 280 155 968

For $320 delivered, which is $60 less they they sold for 5 years ago:

The ones I got from Blue Oval Industries 2 years ago were the 4-hole type.
