I noticed my driver door light was constant "ON" when I came home from work in the dark. No wonder i was tough to keep the battery charged.

There isn't a 928 tire that wants 50 PSIG. Original on my S4 was 36/44 F/R, but modern performance tires typically want less, especially in the rears. I'm in the 38PSIG neighborhood on all four right now, but vary that a few pounds depending on the duty expected.

Moved mine to the street again, then moved it back up in to the driveway.

I was going by the psi listed on the tire.. 50 did not seem very high to me as all my work trucks, etc are between 60 and 80 psi..

i'll deflate some tomorrow... thanks

Fitted a 3 amphere spade fuse in the wire from the outlet from the HVAC "Freeze Switch" to the A/C compressor clutch to protect the relay inside the HVAC head unit.

Located the fuse holder adjacent to the freeze switch on the inside of the fire wall under the plastic cover for the HVAC blower motor, windscreen wiper etc. Fitted the fuse holder without cutting the original wire by installing a male and female spade connector to the ends of the fuse holder wiring. Marked up my electrical drawing #5 showing location of fuse holder for future reference.

Total cost $2.49 plus about 15 minutes of my time for peace of mind.

Got the call from the shop today that the S4 is back up and running better than ever! Get to play with my first Porsche love tomorrow! YEA!!! New Tranny works GREAT (thanks Mark A and 928 International for the 1/2 price sale in December), the seats look BETTER THAN EVER (thanks Greg with ColorGlo!) and the CDR220 looks AWESOME (and it sounds so-so...have a buzzing we can figure out... but the CD player works, the iPod connects and the face plate is visible...ALL THANKS TO Jim C!!!). The paint has always looked good on this car...now I need a deep cleaning of some kind for the Linen carpets and the car will be OVER THE TOP! Oh, also need the intake refinished...loooks like crap.

YardPro--

Take a look at the recommended pressures in your Owners Manual and adjust as needed from there. In my limited experience, the 44 PSI original recommendation for the rears on my car consistently causes a nice center wear stripe on the tire. I manage pressure based on tread temp patterns now, so they are somewhat lower.

HEY! Noticed the Buick Riviera in your sig, is that yours? WOW! Brings back memories, my first car was a 1972 red, white vinyl top, white interior. BIG *** 455 engine... Man the torque that bad boy put out. Funny too, bought from a junk yard for $1200 in 1977, right side door had a dent which was pulled via hammer thingy (forget name) which they drilled about a dozen holes to do. Looked like some had shot it with an oozie!

Uzi...not oozie...or maybe you do mean oozie, but I don't know what that is! LOL! I have seen MANY cars with that same decoration on it! LOL! Come on people, fill the holes, add a little filler and prime the damn thing at least!

Still colder than a witches tit here too.

Took a look under the hood and am going to give roger a call to order his vacuum line / fuel line kits and some items to do a TB tension check. I also have an AC issue to sort; thanks to the amazing info here I have a clear path to troubleshoot.

Looking forward to the spring to get her out.
