Best "upgrade" I done. Wide angel side mirror on driver side and convex on passenger side.
Now I can see what's around me.

Pulled my wheels and treated them to 2 coats of cquartz. I have been annoyed with my wheels being brake dust magnets. Trying to keep the inside respectable was always a PIA. We'll see how it lasts and if the cleaning is any easier...

That's a pretty cool upgrade, what is the P/N for that mirror and where did you source it from?

I got them from ebay UK. It's only the mirror glass and you have to stick them on you old backing. I have the old mirrors with 3 metal clips and I only removed them from the old glass and stuck them on the new ones with a strong 3M double sided tape. No need for heated mirrors in Thailand

Inspected the mothball collection in the engine bay. A few varmints showed up in traps, so had to do a cursory (not really that much cursing...) inspection.

Next winter's hibernation protocol will likely include a plastic sheet under the car, drawn up the sides and ends to make a (hopefully...) mouse-resistant "tray" under the lowers. K isn't happy about "that chemical smell" emanating from the engine area. Hopefully neither are the meeces.

Bought another battery maintainer for K's 4Runner so it and the 928 could have full-time support. Somehow, she discovered that my Pilot DD has heated seats that her 4Runner doesn't. If she takes the Pilot, I'm probably on the lookout for a Cayenne of some sort.

Had a gas smell at the rear of the car and sure enough, it was a loose banjo bolt on the fuel pump. Searched Rennlist to see how people counter-hold the pump and found an old thread where Bill Ball shaved off the sides of a wrench allowing it to fit between the two electric terminals. Fit like a champ--thanks, Bill!

Not so much what I did to my 928 today, but more what I did in preparation of working on my 928 today.

Got a pack of assorted hardware for my Pod, Windshield Wiper and Front Brakes. While travelling on work, 800 miles from home, notated on each baggie what area of the car the piece was for (Pod, Wiper, Brakes), along with the appropriate # from the PET that the part corresponds to. Will make reassembly much easier than searching at the time of install.

first pass at cleaning off the AC compressor and its housing, lots of gunk and road grit on them.

Drove her to a friends Business to display in his foyer for a month or so, we need the room at home for the impending arrival of another '79, along with a fully restored 1968 Hillman Imp the father in Law has just completed.

Busy Business, so great exposure for the 928.

About to put together a "Display Trestle" that the great folks on here have helped me with.

Apologies for the average photos, Tanz almost dropped her phone out her window trying to get these!!

The used tranny I bought a year ago is in. Changed all the fluids, tranny and rear end with Mobile 1.

I'll put the battery back in tomorrow, start it, and see if it moves.

I wish there was a "Like" button on each of these cool projects and upgrades.

Yesterday, we installed the new cmc. Today I said "hey, lets' go bleed the clutch." "It'll be quick and easy," I said. After two hours of unsuccessful bleeding, I'm ready to pour gas on the B* and put a match to her.
It was *supposed* to be that way, easy; I mean it was fast and easy when it had the leaky cmc on it.
Why are the 928 gods angry with me?

Here is the only worthy project of the whole week.....

Repaired a window motor, successfully bled the clutch and DROVE IT!
Although it's been a couple years, the M28/11 is an excellent upgrade.

Applied a coat of paint on the old wheels just to see how it looked. I think I like it and will finish them up.
