Started cleaning the grounds today. I began just above the CE panel. Now I have working door lights.

Fitted NEW Saab window motor (£50 or c.$72)

Fitted replacement windows scrapers - is it cheating to use a little black silicon sealant? :-)

Sticky sunroof next!

Replacing rear crank seal, and discovers that someone has done the same job in the past....
Damn!
I will press the new seal as far in as possible and fill the cut-out with aviation grade two-component sealant and hope for the best.

Made a dent in the SITM list....

1. Installed rear shocks
2. Deoxit and Stabilant on all grounds
3. Deoxit and Stabilant on 14 pin connector

Over the past weekend....

1. Installed front shocks
2. finished MM and OPG
3. Replaced Oil Cooler Lines
4. Replaced PS Lines

Yay.... getting there

Went down to Classic 9 Leather Shop to pick up our seats and door cards from Rob, for the 78. Everything turned out really, really nice. What a difference they will make once installed, and surely will complimenting the other interior pieces.

Set everything in place, but to warm to do much installation work. Hopefully, I will have some installed pictures soon.

We did meet a new 928 owner that was dropping off some pieces from his newly acquired 78...complete with original radio. Hopefully, he will be joining Rennlist soon, and joining in on the fun.

Thank you, Rob and associates...for doing such an outstanding job on the seats and door cards. It was also nice meeting Jason, Dave's son (DaveK9)...he's a fine youngman.

Brian.

Pressure washed the bejeezus out of the bottom of the car, adjusted the ride height to 160-163 on each corner and got an alignment at the local "New to the Neighborhood" Goodyear Service Center all following the shock updates.

Car drives like a dream after new shocks, new MM and this alignment and going to Goodyear was the BEST Service experience I ever had.

Their Customer Advisor formerly worked at the local Porsche Dealer and their alignment rig had zero clearance issues, unlike the clowns at two other places who I said, "I don't think this is a good idea to" and Goodyear guy said "Why would we take the weight off the wheels"

Anywho the SITM list is shortening.... my need for a beer is growing

New brake pads all around on the GTS. Started cleaning up the previous owners painted calipers and found this!

The paint was coming off in a gooey mess so decided to just do pads now. Will address the calipers after SITM.

Added a bit more R-134a. It was blowing cold when I last used the AC in early October. Yesterday I noticed during a drive that air at the vents was cool (not cold). Blowing ice cold again, but some AC work (new O-rings and more) is looming ahead.

Installed front belly pan, released flexplate tension ((well there was nothing to release due to PKLAMP), chased minor leaks and am embarking on changing a fender (Possibly the dumbest thing I could do before SITM)

Installed seats and passenger side door card. Did a quick oil change and got rid of the Mobil One synthetic crap (PO) that rattled on start up like she was coming a part. New oil is much quieter on start up (after sitting all night)...the difference is like night and day.

Anyhow...

My wife snapped a couple pictures, before I parked it out in the field to make room for another project.

Out in the field, 78's ride height is prefect for this type of driving...lol.

Okay, she got to come back in the garage.

Brian.
