Good looking car, too. Unbelievable shape for a 78. Early 78.

I broke the crankcase position sensor off in the bell housing on Jadz928's Euro 84.
What a bunch of work that's turning into. Should have it out later today.

Drove mine 40mi or so today, and the same last Thursday night. Since picking the car up on Dec. 23rd, I haven't had much opportunity to drive it. Its been parked since the blizzard of Dec. 26. We finally had some rain here that washed the roads clean enough for a rip. I've only got 300mi or so of seat time so far, but I'm really, really liking the 928.

There was a guy waking down the street as I pulled out of the garage who was gawking at the car. He clearly didn't know what it was, because as he came close enough he stared at the hood emblem and then announced to his significant other that "its a Porsche." Caught him looking over his shoulder at the car's @$$ in my rearview as I pulled away.

Next time I take it out, its going to roll over to 20k miles

Waited for dang Cul de Sac to thaw and melt. By the time the sun went down it looked as though I might be able to get the 928 out tomorrow for a drive. My street has been solid ice for 10 days.

Freakin' AWESOME 2nd Saturday *** gathering! 23 people! Not to many sharks, but a Cayenne and two 951's...I guess we had 5 or 6 sharks maybe... Then one of the new guys (used to have two '87's) came to my place after and I ruined him for life! Took him for a ride in BLUE82 even!!! It needed to go out for a few miles. Then the '92 GTS and then the S4, so he got the full Monte today! Now it is time to go give them all some loving caresses.

Bought a new synco ($20.00) to be used in 4th or 5th gear when I go into the box, currently looking for a spare for gears 1-3 on the cheap, and then the front input shaft bearing, for my G28/13, just to do preventive maintenance stuff.

Destroyed the right rear tire of the GTSon the way to the GTG this morning. It was cold (relatively speaking) and the tire was low. As I aired it to normal pressure, I heard what I assumed was cracking of ice on the bottom side of the tire. Apparently, it was the inside rubber of the tire that seal the air inside. As I got close to the GTG, the car developed a big shudder. I pulled to the side of the road, and visually checked the air in the tires. Looked okay, so I slowly proceeded to the GTG. I left the GTG and drove to Brad's. I removed the tire to find a 12" knot and 3 others on the inside sidewall of the tire. Sean was nice enough to allow me a 17" tire and wheel to drive home. Thanks, man.

On a more positive note, we did get the MSDS headers installed on Brad's Bin Laden car. We started it, timed it, installed the hood and Brad drove it down the strret for the first time. That car will be a beast when all is said and done.

I replaced a pair of front rotors on mine yesterday and took it for a short test drive of 20 miles or so. I have to mention how much I love Phillips head screws too.....or maybe not....

Several years ago, I bought a EuroS engine and lots of parts off one of our DFW members. The car I got the parts off of, was originally sold at A Bin Laden Porsche Dealership. (Yes, cousin of that same guy they've been looking for!) I donated the engine to Brad's project car. The Bin Laden motor now resides there.

The car is now regarded as the Bin Laden Terrorist Car!!
