so often you see projects like this get started and never finished. e-bay and CL are full of "project cars". what you have undertaken is truly amazing your work looks like it would stand toe to toe with any shop out there. really a great job and the best part is you are on the down hill run now the fun stuff putting her back together

I think there might be a 87 shell available soon.... There's nothing better than putting together clean parts, getting rid of 25 years of dust, crud and corrosion.

All I have to say is - WOW. Amazing professional job. Restorations are all about LPETM - Love of the object, Patience to do it right, Endurance to see it through, Time to get it done and Money to make it happen.
A correctly executed full restoration is a labor or true love and devotion to the object. Under almost no circumstances have I seen a factory original better executed than a full resto. In fact while involved with the Antique Motorcycle Club of America we would often see "over restored" motorcycles. That term was typically applied to the paint work that is usually quite overly done. In the muscle car and sports car world it is less of an issue.
Anyway I tip my hat to you on a fantastic job! It is inspirational and it helps those of us experiencing downtime due to problems to keep plugging along

A correctly executed full restoration is a labor or true love and devotion to the object. Under almost no circumstances have I seen a factory original better executed than a full resto. In fact while involved with the Antique Motorcycle Club of America we would often see "over restored" motorcycles. That term was typically applied to the paint work that is usually quite overly done. In the muscle car and sports car world it is less of an issue.
Anyway I tip my hat to you on a fantastic job! It is inspirational and it helps those of us experiencing downtime due to problems to keep plugging along

Not much done the past week, been busy with work, and had a delay in getting the ISIS code sent out but should have some more updates later this month. Did receive my Hypercoil kit from 928 Motorsports. Next step is sending out the Bilsteins for re-valving to match the spring rates (500/350).

Awesome work Carl! Since you live right there by Amelia Island, you'll have to plan on having your "new" shark in the Cars and Coffee at Amelia event once you have it completed. Its on the Saturday prior to the Amelia Island Concours. Its held on the same location as the AIC the following day. Heck, actually, in my book your car would qualify to be in the AIC instead of just the Cars & Coffee event. But I don't have a vote in that! It'd be just the 2nd 928 to ever be entered in the AIC, the other being the '87 4 door shark from the Neil Huffman Estate back in 2008.

The Cars & Coffee was a lot of fun. I had both my shark & my 968 cab entered this year. I used to be up in Fernandina on occasion in the past, not so much in recent years. I'd love to see your 928 work in process & to meet you in person. Maybe you can come to one of our local PCA events sometime. We've had drive & dines up your way in past years. If any others get planned, I'll be sure to let you know.
