I'd have to disagree. Friend of mine has a 43 year old car that is absolutely perfect. The Bloomington Gold Certification says so.
He did spend close to six figures to get it that way

Default I'm in a different ballgame altogether...

Raw deal, mad as hell, tell ebay... good grief.

It's a 20+ year old car. Goes a buck sixty. Looks like showroom inside and out. Passionate owner had it in his hands for quite a while. Honestly... a steal at that price.

When I get them they usually look like this....

I'll bet you don't pay 20 grand for any of your beaters either.

Thanks for all the inputs. I'm really not looking for financial help from the seller and I had to fix those kind of problems and more on my 1986. I would be more than satisfied if the seller who I know is available and getting my calls would just return one so I could ask him a few questions that would make my job easier.

Nope. But when I'm done with one of my 'beaters'... I usually out run those that do.

To clear up a few things here I will start by saying I am going through the most difficult time of my life right now. My mothers b-day was yesterday and I just sat there staring at the phone unable to mentally pick it up and talk to her. I don't want pity, just understanding. A few fellow listers emailed about this thread so I feel as much as I can I will apologize. I sold the car on ebay and it brought 19k one guy bid it as much as 23k and was emailing to try and steal it away from the buyer. If it would have brought 12, 14, or 15 it would have went. It was no reserve. My heart is broken that I had to sell this fine 928. I wanted it gone and never to hear about it again so old wounds would not be reopened. The buyer came and looked it over as well as presented me with a long list of questions which I answered. He drove the car and was happy. I was truly not aware of these issues as the car has sat for months and I only drove it from my estranged wife's place to the shop to meet the buyer. I never represented the car as perfect or flawless as I have never seen such a car. The buyers are wonderful people and I was happy it was going to them. Everything I said about her was accurate to the best of my knowledge and it is truly a wonderful machine. My reputation might be damaged over this and that pains me greatly. I wish all here and the buyer health , wealth, and happiness.

As I suspected, everything worked on the car when it was parked and Kevin is going through a rough time right now.
Kevin I hope everything works out for you buddy.

I hope things get better for you, Kevin.
...and contact LGL when you see some light at the end of the tunnel.
I trust he is a patient man, and just has a few questions which can wait.

LGL, If you have any immediate questions, feel free to contact me via PM and I will give you my phone number.
Plus, you're just down the road from me, and I can make a road trip or visa versa. I love impromptu tech sessions.

Kevin I hope that your difficulties pass quickly whatever they are.
Happy Holidays.
BTW your reputation isnt tarnished as far as i am concerned.
Your machine looks great,
and it is evidenced that many countless hours went into making that much more special.

LGL make up your list of things that are not working and set out to correct them.
you have a terrific Christmas present

Wait a minute. The OP went and inspected the car himself? What the hell? That puts a whole new paint job on this situation. This thread should have never been started.

Kevin, I hope you work through your problems. Good luck and happy holidays.
