Default 928 vs. Panamera - YUCK!

Hi Everyone,

I have seen a few Panamera's on A1A out here in Ponte Vedra Beach, and they looked fine, moving. But I have never seen up up close until the other night.

I was out at Ruth Chris and the valet guy parked my 928 next to a Panamera. When I came out to pick up my car, I got a good look at the Panamera and it looks like the backend of a school bus stuck on a Porsche front end, yuck....

It reminded me of the AMC Pacer, bubble butt. I just don't see how one could spend $100k+ on that. Is it a mini van? Is it a sports car?

I sure would like to see what the guys on Top Gear would have to say about it, they would have a field day.

Joe

I believe it is aimed at being more of a family car.

They (Top Gear) did an episode comparing it to an Aston Martin and I believe a BMW(?). They were less than kind about its looks, to say the least but did like the way it drives. I believe it outperformed the other two but none of the co-hosts picked it as a car they would own. They judged that it was just too damn ugly.

That 928 really makes the Panamera look hideous - and 928's don't even look that good in white imo!!

Well, opinions may vary. I always thought a white 928 looks really good. Check out the picture thread.

Your 928 looks very nice - wAYYY nicer than mine haha- white just isn't my personal favorite color for the 928 - its got so many curves and white just kind of blends them all rather than sticks them out. Thats just my personal opinion nothing personal!! Again yours looks great and did a great job of making that Panamera look like the **** that it is!!! haha

Yep, that's it. They all picked the Maserati, quirks and all.
