The turbo version does 0-60 mph in 4.0 seconds. Yikes.
I saw one while walking through town a few months ago, and was really impressed. I don't recall what it was, but there were aspects I don't like. I think it's the two extra doors.
Am I wrong in thinking the front end is essential 911 architecture? In fact, as I look a little more at it, it almost looks like the rear has 911 elements. Could this be a "stretched" 911? Please forgive me, I'm pretty poor at perception of design elements.

Saw a blacked out Panamera on "Burn Notice" last week and it looked really good..but they never did show a rear shot of it......
Hopefully Porsche will release a two door version that takes care of that "hunchback" ..

The color of Chuck's Panamera is just stunning.

Ill put this photo up again to show what the designers meant for the car to look like...thank the marketing department for the 'hunchback', they were concerned with competing with the likes of the MB S-class and BMW 7-series and thought it was absolutely necessary that a 6'3 rear passenger still has an inch of headroom

heres my 928 next to one....noticeable difference yes, but the porsche 'essence' is there nonetheless.

I just realized that a Porsche is like an Eichler. I've owned and worked on both.
Nevermind. I was just thinking aloud. It had something to do with design essence. I think the 911 is a valuable essence one wouldn't want to stray too far from.

No way the shark’s low slung nose would get a green light in today’s environment.
I'm still not sure I ever seen a Porsche I didn't want to take home and am totally cool with white... especially pearl white!

I do realize that people have some very strong opinions of the Panamera and I too said when I first saw the pictures b/f the car was officially released and I too said it was butt ugly and would never have one! Huh! Never say never... ![hiha](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/roflmao.gif)
I will say, with the possible exception of the turbo II wheel and the new sport design wheel there are really no attractive choices from Porsche when it comes to wheels and not just on the Panamera. Porsche has released some really fugly wheel designs of late and are doing themselves no favors when it comes to that aspeect of design. Wheels (and stance) make or break a car visually. We ordered our P4S with the standard 18" wheel knowing we were going to replace them immediately. The stock wheels did not turn a wheel once the car hit the dealer.....
Additionally, if the Panamera is not optioned with air suspension and has the standard steel spring setup, it looks like a 4-wheeler! Here are a couple examples and even some really nice wheels alone will not help....

w/air suspension (wheels might be a little large - 22" HRE P40)

Another with air suspension. All turbos will have this option though....

Some are just plain ugly.....

I was in San Mateo Friday and within 5 minutes I crossed paths with 3 Panamera's, black, gunmetal (or some nice dark greyish), and a dark green (not BRG). One turned left in front of me, the other was stooped at the light going in the direction of the turning car, and one a half mile latter on my ride.
I have seen many in town this year but not at once.
I prefer two door +hatch for the P cars and look forward to seeing a Pana'wana soon!

lurkage...not. First visit since joining in '09...usually on the e9 site helping needy coupe owners when I have time...
Only purposeful visits, no time to waste lurking! I have an Eichhler and a Porsche and an e9 and other cars and family and life...to maintain.

There's nothing like seeing a Porsche in an Eichler carport.
I grew up in an Eichler in Palo Alto. My parents still own the house. I later bought a fixer in Sunnyvale. They're collector's items now.
Cheers!

I was in the crowd that hated the looks of them until I saw a black one on the interstate coming back from SITM, he hung with Paul and myself for 20 miles or so and it made a convert out of me.
