New hood Vent and Antenna Cover
Here is my new hood vent. its carbon fiber that i had painted and i used rivets to attach it. the hood seems to hate me and not want to align the way i want, then i remembered that i dont have hood shims. At idle, a good amount of hot air comes out of the vent, and i plan on seeing how the temps are tomorrow when in traffic.
as for the Antenna cover, i got it from Visual Garage and had it painted to match. it covers my sirius antenna well.

Looks "cool" Ducman. As far as the shark fin antenna, are you saying that in addition to the AM/FM element already in there, you can run a Sirius antenna and it fits in? Did you stick the Sirius to one of the side walls of the fin?

FWIW I wonder how much work it would take to have the outlet flange mounted to the underside of the hood, it would stick up less, you could finish the rivet heads similar to an aircraft skin
Nice work though, any more details about the antenna

I have this shark fin antenna cover as well.
Here is the website:
http://www.visualgarage.com/
The website indicates they will paint it to match, but they did not have my Porsche GP White, so they sent it to me primered and I had it painted myself. There are installation instructions on the website, but the cover has one of those flat sticker type antennas inside and has a cord which will fasten to the roof antenna base after the mast is removed. I tried this, but the reception was not good for my area. I ended up making my own antenna, routed it between the dash and windshield (inside) and hooked it to the stock booster. This ended up just being a cover my old roof antenna. It looks good though.

Looks great Duc! I'm considering the fin antenna but there is something I like about the stinger in the later cars. I wonder if it is possib;e to color the stinger to match the body paint. In my case Turquoise Metallic.

After my highway and stop and go test, the temp stayed about 1/8 lower in town, and around a little more then 1/8 lower on highway speeds. seems to work well

Not a fair test, with the hailstone cooling effect.

The thing I see most benificial for the hood vent is simply cooling the engine and components faster after turning off the engine... Less brittle connectors and vacuum lines is a good thing!

If you are running the viscous fan, consider refilling with silicon. Made a dramatic improvement on my 85Platinum car in the heat at slow speeds.
Not a fan of cutting that beautiful hood, but I understand the functionality part.
