I'm not sure what I said was even correct. But this setup does seem simpler than the typical turbo systems I've seen. Yet, they all work the same way. I guess the difference is moving the components away from the cramped engine area. I don't know, I'm just thinking out loud.

Before I started this project, I was looking at the STS twin turbo "generic" kit on their website. In the end, I decided that I did not have enough time to install this before our 3rd Coast event. I was planning on placing the turbos where each muffler resides. If you remove the heat sheild, there "might" have been enough room. I will never know now. I didn't get to the measurement stage, but the twin turbos in the STS kit looked tiny compared to one 60mm unit.
Keep in mind, that for a few hundred bucks, an upgrade to a 68mm turbo is an option for the single turbo set up....... a 60mm is standard. This would only be necessary if planning on going into the 550-600 rwhp range......

And the total cost was what?

In order to get into that HP territory, much more money will need to be spent other than the $300 turbo upgrade. Bigger injectors, super maf or the super maf harness thingy, possible boost controller, methanol injection to control detonation, 9:1 compression ratio would be a good idea too, with stronger forged pistons, and on and on.......its a slippery slope for sure!!

I was sitting on the couch last night thinking about turbo lag. I think the reason that I am not associating the performance of the car with lag, is because I have honestly not lost any power below the point at which the car just makes more power under boost. So, instead of thinking of it as lag, think of it as anti-lag, or anti-boost maybe. The car goes as normal below "X" rpm, and then just goes like stink after that. Having the turbo in-line with the exhaust did not slow the car down at all below the point of positive intake pressure.
The only time I notice lag, is when one of the boost tube joints pops loose under boost. This has not happened since I added the BOV by the way.......

I have John's cell number and can PM it to anybody interested in the RMT kit that he sells. Not sure about the number on the P9 website as I have never tried calling it.
Eric, PM sent.
