Hey Larry thanks for the reply.
FYI - AMP is the 17th and the car must not exceed 92db from 50' - A NASA official must cert the car either this weekend or the 16th at FIR east.
Just wanted you to know just in case you do decide to run.
Side note: Im almost 100% certain my shark wont pass the DB levels .....Ill find out on the 16th ...
Peace

having seen Larry's 928 in person a while back at thunderhill (narrow body version) I can say it is VERY well built..... I can't wait to see it out on track again!

Lets get it out there and do it. Wasnt I going to try and meet you for a ride?
1:56 is a tall order. I think with our cars, we need about 475rwhp to do it. based on Andersons competiitors, or cars that run faster at laguna, he would probably do a 1:53 out there on slicks. pretty interesting that the camaro with the only change being the LS7, dropped 4 seconds. he already was making more power than me, but at a heavier weight. i know the LS7 makes 550flywheel, but what does it dyno at with the tweeks they might have made?
have you dynoed it?
great stuff!

It has to go to Phoenix for the winter. Until I get it tuned, I can't say what groups I will set the car up to run with. One overriding consideration is a tranny that wants to explode when coupled with high hp motors and then being run on a road course. Hate to leave NorCal, but don't like snow.

Randy gained 4 seconds with the LS7.... I would guess he has a BUILT LS7....since stock Z06's put down 440whp...just exhaust mods can put them near 500whp easy...I would guess Randy's engine is closer to 550whp..& the LS engine is lighter than the older version he was running before..maybe 100lbs lighter if his old 383 was an iron block?

Here's my passenger side fender, wish the headlights weren't there, I could
have more room for all this stuff:
Probably need to be more organized with all the mods!

He was blowing up the viper CC transmissions. (trimec ?) now, i dont know what he has in their now, but I know its not "normal" . . straight cut gears, howels and is beefy! same with the rear end. all nascar stuff now.
its basically almost a nascar with a camaro body on it, but handle better.

I'm just doing open track with NASA and others right now. With a new motor being installed in the next few days, we have a lot of tuning to do. I can run SCCA in ITE or SP, which will probably happen next summer. I should start doing time trials with NASA this winter. Don't want to do door to door until I have a solid transaxle in the car (with a couple of back-ups in the trailer).
