You MUST be kidding. Marc & Susan always drove the White Car to events. George Suennen too, over 500 miles each way (although he has only done 198.6 MPH to date). Tim & Cheryl now trailer their 208+MPH car (mostly so they don't have to worry about the tires) but they have driven it at "funride" events. George carries race wheels & tires in a support vehicle and changes them before the race. The mods do not make the car undrivable on the street. Get the mods done before you kill yourself.

Hi Bill

You are correct, I DO know I need that stuff but....

I am prepared to do it without....most of it anyway....

I have always taken risks in my life and always will....

You can choose your own adjective...insane, nuts, a fool.... any other you can think of....

But its MY choice and I have done some silly things which are riskier than this....try jumping out of a perfectly good plane at 30,000 feet on oxy and you will see what I mean....

Also, for very good reasons , I am a Fatalist, in other words ...I seriously believe that I will die on a date and time that is already set lol It should have been long ago, so every day is borrowed time and I do weird things to enjoy it....

I survived this one and may or may not survive the next one, but if I don`t....don`t blame anyone else...just me

At least I will have gone doing something that made me happy

All the best Brett

If I ever did something like that, I would make sure to have at least someone standing by the road with a video camera...

Hi Dan

It wasn't a road and unfortunately it was somewhere only me and the 928 could get in...

OK, this is about the most ridiculous thing I have ever read here. This whole thing must be an April Fools joke just a bit late. I'm done.

Hi

Lol..People always seem amazed at my attitude or insanity if you prefer...

Look at it this way, some people climb mountains with every piece of safety gear in the world and sometimes still die...

Some people free climb with nothing and sometimes do not die...or sometimes do...

I am the second type and the first type always think the second is nuts

Head back to the drag strip. It's safer and they'll give you a time slip, too. You should get some monster trap speeds since you car can cruise over the 200 mph mark.

Hi

Not designed for Drag racing which is why my Uk 1/4 mile record for 928s is only a 13.03 @ 113.3 mph ...

Firstly the track is already prepared (both the 1/4 and the shutdown)

Second its a lot quicker lol...even when testing you go out, hit the loud pedal then the chutes...and stop (mostly )

I did actually check for things like broken concrete and major flaws in the surface where I was at low speed...prior to the run...

I am not totally insane lol, just a little nuts

I have been a fuel fan since the early 70's, what fuel team?

Hi Greg

UK teams only, which you may or may not heard of....The Priors and Nobby Hills were the main ones, I also assisted Sammy Miller when he was at SantaPod with his Rocket car, Vanishing Point.

Hi Glen

I have been thinking about it...

I may have to get a half cage as a full cage is not practical as its my daily driver, or maybe just the roll over central bar from a half cage.

I am pretty sure nothing like that is available in the UK...is it in the US ?
