Thanks-and you too!

By the way-like the stock market today, the 928 market seems to have crashed a little in the past 3-4 weeks. It is a slow selling season at retail so that may be part of it (vacations and such).

I'm sure he does.... If it was all done right this would be one hell of a deal in my book!!! Can't wait to see the interior.

Unfortunately money spent making it non original does nothing to increase the selling price. Neither does taking it to the drag strip or running Nox, but you never can tell that one special buyer is sometimes out there.

Maybe we should add something to the newbie sticky about listing cars for a friend and how it won't be any fun.

I'm here 7 months-that's almost newborn!

I should have waited until he brought in the pix and docs but I know he's in a hurry and I'm leaving town Wednesday (for work).

I expect this thread should be at 200 replies by Monday!

Sub-9sec takes over 800hp, and real good traction/launch control....and a lot less than 3600lbs...
I don't like to bash, but these claims don't smell right....sorry..

Again, I did not witness it-it's his claims. Either way, it's his anniversary weekend and he's off to the casino. Let's hope he's not gambling away the car!

He claims he has dyno charts before and after. Also claims the car ran sub 9 second quarter mile at Englishtown, NJ. Heavily modified.

I will check all docs and details in the coming days.

Thank you for looking,

If its a 3550lb car with driver running sub 9's in the 1/4 sounds like he'd need
more like 800hp+ crank hp
http://raceprecision.com/1-4%20MileCalculator.htm
Most 928's with 500 crank hp since its hard to leave the line is more like sub 9's in the 1/8th mile.
Most supercharged 928's are low to mid 8's in the 1/8 mile and very few breaking 7's in the 1/8 mile.
It is possible thou if running one big nitrous system, seen sub 9 second 1/4 mile street driven Mustangs
around here before but then again they were stroker motors with 300+ shot nitrous systems.

I'm skeptical now of his sub 8 claim. Thinking about a Cuda we built years ago with 700+HP and a fiberglass body and race setup we got 7's.

Anyway-let me wait for the dyno chart and also for the pictures plus documents.

Little about this thread makes any sense at all......but we all KNOW it is easy to spend a lot of money on a 928 however often it does not help the resale value..... I for one would NEVER knowingly buy an engine that was juiced with Nox or supercharged because it often has been done WRONG. And even if right means the car has been driven HARD.
