If it has ever been boosted or nitro injected, I'm out.

NOS is bad for a motor if . No different than a boosted motor, and the charge is cool! Properly setup it is a walk in the park!
Key words "not set up properly" makes yours a nearly meaningless statement because when a NOS motor lets go everyone knows it was .......... and yes it is much like boosted motors which also fail quite often if .."not set up properly. The other issue is just like boost NOS is addictive and seldom does one stay at the initial safe level. Years ago 930 turbo owners had "dial a boost" a neat **** on the dash which you could turn to adjust the blowoff valve and bump the boost. That always ended up blowing the motor because boost feels so good and why not try just a little more since it did not hurt anything the last time ! Modified cars in general are suspect because of the high delta of skills involved in the changes. Also not that Kibort has had very atypical results with many things but was only shooting a 50 hp shot into a 250 HP engine...pretty mild. So does running a supercharger and NOS make the engine scrap ?? It sure does give it two different ways to get screwed up......when one is often enough.

It was Doc but if I came across like a jerk then I am sorry! I understand what you are saying I just do not agree. Of course if I was looking to purchase the car I would want it inspected by someone a lot more knowledgable than myself!

I feel that if you wanted to do all of that stuff to the motor it would be less expensive to buy it already done.

You are very correct....."I feel that if you wanted to do all of that stuff to the motor it would be less expensive to buy it already done." all you need to do is pay for the engine rebuild which is probably going to be coming up

Story about the guy who saw his friend with a new dog (4 legged kind) he asked about it and the guy said ..Yea got him for $10,000 ! first guy says... You paid $10,000 cash for a DOG ? Guy answers ..No I traded him two $5,000 cats. Best way to get out of a bad position is trade it for another.

How did those cats get to be $5,000? Well, they were free when they were kittens. But someone didn't warn him they were just $10,000 from being $5,000 cats.

I welcomed 'Mickster' to my home to see a car I was selling. From the moment he stepped onto my pavement out of his Subaru I knew right away [as I have a tremendous nose, NO PUN INTENDED ] he had absolutely no interest in buying a car, and then he started taking pictures like it was some kind of photo shoot....A friend who was with me and I were both a little amused by the experience.

The internet is a strange place. This thread just fits.

Good Luck with the sale.

Thanks man!

By the way, I always take pictures-I work for Nikon-and I thought I'd post them if anyone wanted to see the car. Loved the sound of the car but it wasn't right for me.

I'm willing to bet I'm never going to see the pictures (beyond what is posted) or records but if he provides them, I'll post and hopefully it will be a fit for someone.

Yes weird is right ....perhaps some people enjoy the POWER of closing a thread even one as worthless as this one.
