-----

I had a street car that would run low 10's with street tires, mufflers, etc. Just like it shows up at stoplights. Many folks would brag about their cars being quicker, but failed miserably when there was a showdown. Most would give up well before my front wheels touched down just the other side of the intersection. There was always a sob story about how it really needed a ist of X things so it wasn't quite ready. It either does it or it doesn't. Quick street cars are much more available now, with NOs systems cheap and easy. But still, getting into 9's in a nitrous 928 is a real stretch. Our former pro drag race crew chief Brett was several long expensive precious seconds slower in his built-out NOS 928 in the UK, for instance.
Okay got some more details (and will have pix and more info Monday or Tuesday):
1) No it will not smog-no cats
2) Engine was bored a few millimeters, forged crank, ported, reinforced rods, advanced timing...again, I want to see the dyno w and w/o nitrous (to Ken Porken's point) and also service records. Right now I take him at his word and by the feel of the car.
3) Suspension is totally upgraded, again, I'll have details next week.

A sub-9-second car is worth $19k to the right person. We probably ain't them, though...

There are the shots he has from his Facebook page; they are low-res.

Until I verify this is the engine (which is an S4 from all looks and supercharged), I will delete this shot.

Body pre and mid-restoration:

He took care of mechanicals first, body second, interior third.

Like I said, I've never seen the dyno or books, but the car itself is incredible.

Concours implies a very high standard of newness and is a much misused term (most times spelled wrong too!!) and if it really is concours it would be one hellof a car......

NICE looking engine!

Why the US fenders on a Euro car?

Trust me, this car looks new. Again, until I have more pictures, please stay tuned.

The engine is a S4 engine not a 86.5. Maybe he went with S3 block?

Edit: That engine bay shot is from a black car, this car is red?

Chuck-again I have no idea. I've never seen the paperwork, just the car and I couldn't tell a Euro from a non-Euro without help. The last time I saw the car was April. I did not look at the VIN. Someone mentioned a supercharger, and I now wonder if they put one in and he had no idea.

He has far more into this car than the asking price which again, I'll verify on Monday or Tuesday.

With NOS...ONLY! You would barely get that kind of power out of a blown 5.0L...turbo OR S/C. Maybe it was 427RWHP WITH NOS and OVER 500 Tq WITH NOS, but it was MOST CERTAINLY NOT 427RWHP WITHOUT it!

This totally cracks me up...here is the STOCK S3 engine and the pic is an S4 engine w/ and S/C on it...that would explain the HP and with NOS I would even buy the HP numbers...not sure I buy a SUB 9 sec QTR, maybe IN THE 10's... time will tell.

Pretty car. NOT a euro car unless all of the fenders were changed out and then why bother calling it a EURO car...same once the engine was taken out... hmmmm...

I am going to delete that shot-I don't think that is from his car.

And yes-that is certainly an S4 not an 86.5 and it looks like a supercharger.

Yup. I hope the speculation is wrong-but until I see the books and what was done, I can only go by what he told me and what I saw.
