Registration for the 14th annual 928 Frenzy has been going great. I expect we'll have at least 60 car owners in attendance as well as about 25 guests. If you'd like to join us there's still time to sign up. However, you need to register real soon to guarantee your requested shirt size. So, don't delay! Visit the 928 Frenzy web site and register today. Click on the "When is Frenzy" tab to see the agenda. That same tab has a link to the menu for the evening banquet.

Coming in from out of town? Don't forget to reserve your discounted hotel room at the Holiday Inn:
Reservation Link
The "hold" we had on our block of rooms has expired. Erase "POR" from the "Group Code" field and click on "View Rates." They have rooms available for $71, which is a good rate for the DC area.
See you in two weeks!

Just wanted to give everyone attending the Frenzy a heads up about the 2 tech sessions. Schedule here: LINK
928 HVAC Vacuum Actuator Diagnosis and R&R
Tech: Jim Doerr
Description: A 928's HVAC control was designed to work well when everything functioned as intended. Air movement through the system is directed by flaps which are controlled by 4 vacuum actuators.
These actuators contain diaphrams which break and cause air to leak by. If enough leakage occurs, the system cannot function properly and efficiently.
This tech session will give you the information needed to do it yourself, and break it down into 3 accessible "day" projects.
Tech Brief:
- Diagnostics of vacuum actuator solenoid manifold
- Discussion on where each actuator is located and what it takes to access them
- Hands-on recirc box R&R (Thanks Greg Nichols for donating your 928)
Model/Years Affected: All
Time: 10:00-11:30am, Oct 2nd
____________________________________________________
928 Maintenance Trends and Extended Service
Key Speaker: Jim Mayzurk
Description: As our 928's get older, it's become imperative to look beyond Porsche service intervals and target common maintenance trends.
We'll be looking at the less obvious trends that are not allowing you to drive your 928 to it's fullest potential.
We'll also target what is available to you, as an owner, to continue to enjoy many years of stress-free driving.
Tech Brief:
- Round table discussion, with key speaker, where maintenance trends are introduced and discussed.
- Available products/new product innovations and how they relate to extended service
Model/Years Affected: All
Time: 12:30-2:00pm, Oct 2nd
