If the stars align correctly, I may be able to make it again. I have a very scattered schedule for fall, with three projects causing a lot of travel. Seems I'll have about the same chance of getting to Sharktoberfest in my own back yard as I will with any other event this year. Missed SITM by two days; as I was packing to leave on SITM Sunday for NC, Karen asked me why I didn't leave earlier and do the event. I guess I need to do better planning and coordination with my home-life personal planner/cooordinator.

So what is this Frenzy thing everyone is talking about?? Sounds like it would be a fun event for 928ers!! LOL!

J/K, the 928 Frenzy has been overall my favorite 928 Event the last decade and a half!

There were even a few years there when I thought we were going to have to put on the Frenzy ourselves to keep it alive. BUT, the Super Friendly 928ers of the DC area have worked their butts off year after year to keep the Frenzy going and it is now getting stronger every year. Thanks guys for all of your hard work, you all have single handedly kept the oldest running 928 Event Alive and Strong!!!!

BTW, anyone that hasn't attended a 928 Frenzy is truly missing out on hanging out the weekend with a Fantastic group of 928ers. It has been a highlight of each and every year to go up and visit with them all, both the ole timers that I miss all year, as well as the newbies that show up.

I could tell many, many, 928 Frenzy stories about the likes of Lucky Ekman (for the newbs, Lucky was the cofounder of Devek along with Bob Devore, the "DEV" and
"EK" that formed DEVEK ), Marc and Susan of Devek (who attended a bunch of years), Kim Crumb, to the year Jim Bailey came, and even Mark Anderson even came a few years. If we hadn't gotten Mark so drunk the last time he came..that he drunk dialed his wife in the middle of the night...he might have been "allowed" to come again. Ha Ha, J/K about the "allowed" part :-) Come on back Mark, it has been too long, we miss you and promise to go easier on you this time!!

So for anyone "on the fence" about coming to the Frenzy, it is really a "storied" 928 Event that every 928er that can make it should try their best to attend.

OH, and hanging out on Saturday at Walid's Funktion Auto is and has been a treat over the past few years. Walid is a true "Gear head" and as gracious a host as the Frenzy has ever had. Just checking out his shop and current projects each successive year is pretty much worth the trip by itself! Hopefully the Frenzy will be hosted there again this year!

So, I guess I will try to make it up there this year too...would be a shame to break a 15 year personal perfect attendanace record and 14 straight years of sponsorship!! Ha, Ha!

+1.. What a compelling endorsement for the event, Dave! We all hope that Walid offers to host the event again this year. He's been very generous with his facility for each year that he's hosted it, and in turn the Frenzy attendees have appreciated & respected his generosity by leaving the place (and the amazing classics on display) the way we found them.
I don't think I've seen those funKtion pics. Those shots show how nice the facility really is. That dark gray 70's 911 w/Fikse aro's in the first pic (beautiful car) was at one of our post Frenzy get togethers way back in '05. Small world.

Appears will likely miss the NE gathering at Larz museum and associated hijinks- shucks. But hope to make Frenzy. And, with a 928 instead of a GTO this time! Slushbox though it might be. Provided the delivery truck gets here before then....
