Ok, possibly dumb question / suggestion. How much have you driven it this way?

My car and my friends 928, both lowered with cut and / or stiffer springs, they take forever to fully settle.
I have to do some hard braking before my 79 starts to go down. Even then, not until a lap around the track at speed does it fully settle.

If I can help w/pics, let me know...but I'm running Eibachs w/my Bilsteins and I gather you're looking at a spring issue.
.....right now, I'm thinking about ordering a set up Eibach Pro-Kit springs and having them overnighted to me however, the Porsche (with Porsche part number) springs in the car now also say they are Eibachs..........

I drove the car on a 25 mile spirited run following the install.... Prolly unlikely it's going to settle 2" anytime soon?

Yea probably not, just a thought.

Just bring it to SITM that way, we'll have Andrew and Tim jump up and down on the fenders

I can verify later today, but I believe everything is the same.

One thing I noticed comparing our "built" photos - look at the number of coils. Mine have 5 visible and you have 7 (not including the portions seated in the perches). I don't know if mine are "cut" or not, but it appears you may have more coil than I do. As I recall, mine have 928INTL stamped on them, I can provide details on this later as well.

Eibachs? Those should put the ride height too low, if anything. My recollection is I didn't even have to use a spring compressor to mount them when I had them on my car. Note how HIGH the adjuster was on Jon's earlier photo with Eibachs and how LOW it is on the current CS set.

So, you now say your springs are Eibachs? Why are you thinking of ordering another set overnight?

If those front springs are Eibachs somethings way off..............my S4 has Eibach/ Billstiens all round and it sits low with the perches half way through the range.

As Bill states I also didn't need compressors to install the Eibachs.

The OEM front springs are in the shop......I can count the spring coils and measure free spring length.

the Eibachs I have are a Porsche part number that also has Eibach noted on them. I now have the left side out and I'm going to measure the spring uncompressed, check to see if the adjuster can be turned over to lower ride height and call one of the vendors (DR is MIA I guess due to SITM prep) and see if the Pro-Kit Eibach is shorter than the Porsche Eibach I have? If you didn't need a spring compressor there is a diff b/c I have to compress 3 coils tight together to get this apart/together....

Report to follow shortly.... Perhaps b/c it is a Porsche part number it is specially made for Porsche and it's different then the standard Eibach 928 spring?

My coils are much closer together.

First: The adjuster nut threads are NOT in the collar they are directly behind the adjusting groves.

Second: by flipping the adjuster nut over I gain an addition 1.5" lower to start with - that should translate to ~3" in ride height correct?

Third: the adjuster nut seats nicely on the perch (or the other way around....) and still has room to adjust the height.

I'm goin for it.......

Yes they are. It's apparent we have two different types of Eibach springs. Mine say 928INT.FRT and have a part number 113045 (Rears say 928INT.RR with part number 113245)

Adjustment nut is unchanged from the previously posted "built" photo.

Eibach made springs for Porsche? Uh, weird. Take some pics Chuck. What PN do you see? Spring length for stock springs should be about 13.5 inches.

So, reading back through the thread, it appears MY adjustment nuts are upside down.

I can attest this does make adjustment more difficult, as the spring perch overhangs much of the nut. Adjustment must be made in small increments with the spanner wrench being frequently re-positioned.

I didn't uncompress the spring when I took it apart. Just flipped the adjuster nut over, measured it and put the coilover back together.

PN: 928.343.511.13

Or are they? I'm thinking not at this point; like you said it will make adjustment a little more difficult....
