I find this interesting. The Autotrader ad says it's a private seller, and it's a different contact number than the one in the ebay auction that ended a couple weeks ago. Aditionally, the pictures in the Autotrader ad are some of the exact same ones that were used in the ebay auction.

This first picture was from the ebay auction. The second picture is from the Autotrader ad, and is identical except they blacked out the license plate. What's going on here? Did somebody actually buy it from Autowholesales and are flipping it?

OB is a CIS car in the US. Limits it to pre-1980 cars. Once electronic injection came along they were no longer OB's. The name came up in debates over the ability to keep the CIS working in the OB's. If you weren't there when the term was coined pre-Rennlist (think 'porschefans'), you wouldn't know. Because there are many listers who have later cars but still pre-S4. and want their cars to be considered as OB's, they use the term with obvious indifference. At may be popular among those folks but it isn't correct. The horse isn't dead, obviously.

Could be any number of things; might have been on consignment for sale; might be a scam.

I've been watching this horse get beaten, this car is 0574 vin# mine is 0586 vin#. Was this car on the line at the same time as mine, or maybe the next week? I'd love to get access to it for a couple of days to photo every nook and crany. Mine once looked that good, and I'd like to get her as close as I can to that look. I don't want a low miler... I'd rather fix mine and drive her all the time!

Dr. Bob,

I didn't even want to open that can of worms! LOL!!! In a sense it supports my position as those car are non-S spoilered cars...which is my point anyway! LOL!

Language is alive and things change and for a lot here including myself on this one, ignorance is bliss.

That last one was a squeeker but still shows a change. With all due respect to Jay K, I like using it as a demarcation line between 86/87.

Unless someone wants to coin a new term. This is all fun but has use implications.

Yea, very dead horse like isn't it! Kind of like Rush Limbaugh I'll keep after it till everyone agrees with me or I die trying to gain their commitment! LOL!
Problem is, not all the OB purists agree either. I've been told by one grand-poo-ba OB grandmaster that if and when I pull CIS off my 79 it will no longer be a true OB.

My OB has brake ducts too

Jim, the owner checked-in here a couple months ago. I think that's about the price.
