I'm committed on a project in western Tn that's running now months behind. Usually that means forty-hour days helping them get going, so getting a long weekend away is tough and expensive. They burn through over $1mm/day in penalties without considering costs, so it's big business for sure. Being that late gets me to the neighborhood but ties me up once I'm there.

I am confused, is this your money?
I understand about doing a job to the best you can, but damn Bob, so close to not make it to SITM.

This will be my first SITM trip and I'm looking forward to it! A couple of questions - anyone have any idea how many 928's are currently registered? Also, I think early on in this thread, there was some talk about doing a Blueridge Parkway run on Sunday. Are there any plans to do this? I apologize if this was addressed in the thread...work has kept me quite occupied lately and I haven't kept up.

Frank-

In understand that 100 cars are currently registered and about 175 people. I don't know about any formalized BRP run yet, but I would imagine that the trip to the Addeco (sp?) swaybar factory will take some fun roads.

Actual registrations is one number...but CONFIRMED registrations is another....so far the Confirmed Registrations are the highest ever, even higher than Andrew's quoted numbers!!!

BTW, IF you haven't gotten a Confirmation e-mail (and replied to it) from Jeannie yet PLEASE contact her ASAP

Without the confirmation details she needs from you, you will not get a free t-shirt(and certainly one in your size desired) and a Printed badge!!!

Thanks, Andrew! I'm really looking forward to this..gotta be awesome to see a parade of 100+928s I may have to rethink going to the factory tour if there isn't a BRP run. I'm bringing a female friend that may not have that desire but, maybe I tell her we're all just driving to a consignment shop..hehe

You know... you can "make" the BRP or any other fun road part of your journey - coming or going. There's a group of us that are taking the long-way to Banner Elk just for that reason. Can't wait! Only about a week and a half left to go! Whoo Hoo!

We'll be driving up from Charlotte which is a nice ride in itself. Just nothing more fun then following a shark and being chased by a shark at the same time while maneuvering curves. I just may plan for a BRP run sometime on Sunday if the weather is great. I look forward to meeting you and others

Ah, that may be some of my former folks migrating through my current haunt en route to the event...I should seee if I can connect. THough the tag session given that I'm driving a GM product could be ...well, probably best avoided for ALCON.

Hey Kurt - were you able to get a room? We still have an extra bed if you need it. I'll be mostly staying in AO's room anyway ; )
