Can someone share the details for the caravan of the Cherohala Skyway trip? I'm coming from Chicago burbs leaving in the Thursday afternoon and trying to see if I can make it in time for this. I've already read through the thread but didn’t find specifics.

I believe most people (if not all) will be staying/gathering at the Comfort Suites in Alcoa, Tn. (140 Cusick Rd, Alcoa, TN)

From there it's a wild journey through 300 miles of twisty roads. Here is the route I plan on taking. I suggest you download and print it out so you have your own set of direction in case you get separated or decide to drive at a different pace.

Well.....we gave it a good attempt but my 81 will not be making the trip.

It's running, just no time to finish everything for a 1600+ mile road trip in 5 days.

Lorelei and I are still attending (knock on wood I suppose) just not sure which vehicle we are taking. If I can get the 79 out of storage and prepped in time, we'll give it a go.
Cross country in a stripped track car, sounds like fun to me

That sucks, so close and just not close enough.
Still, you will have a great time.

We got a late start on this project, no real reaosn why just the way things go.

Now I wish I would have started the double-din GPS in dash project for the SAAB. Would be nice for the trip since I have a feeling that will be our ride.

Default PCA recognition

For the past couple of months, I have been attempting to have SITM placed in the local PCA Calendar of Events listing... for the benefit of all Porsche fans.

Finally, after speaking with several folks with club responsibilities -it is now included in the local events list on the Carolinas Region PCA's website:

http://www.carolinas-pca.com/

Better late than never and more exposure is better than less!

I put it on the Zone 3 calendar probably three months ago, so you got some exposure there. If you need help with getting calendar events listed let me know. I know the guy behind the zone 3 calendar and can assist with others.
