So here are some more shots of EURO85. The detail job is mostly done...at little hand work still remains and some work on the nose, but pretty much all done now! It is getting the seat switch fixed, new (louder) exhast, and they are gong to try and even up the sun roof and figure out why it has a surging under hard accel. The wheels are done and on their way too! SO CLOSE I CAN TASTE IT!

Looks good James, I can't wait to see the wheels too. Are those new wheels on the race car? They look great!

Yea, Steve, I am kind of geeky like that... If I know what car I want to drive I'll color coordinate to that car or if I don't care what I am driving I'll wear what I want and then drive the car that goes with what I am wearing. LOL! I am BAD!

Brian, yea, those are the MODA wheels that Tire rack had onsale for $59 each! I bought six of them that will fit the race car. Would have bought a set or two for the street cars too if I could have but they didn't have the correct offset's for the street cars...

Thanks to Brian for the help today with the wheels and rotor hat painting. Pics to come of EURO85 with the new and AWESOME Carrera Light Weit wheels on it! Rock solid on the road and just enough clearance to work well!

So here is the arrival by FedEx, the unloading, unboxing and initial fitment of the wheels. When they clearly fit I took them off and did some painting on the rotor hats (with the help of Brian of course) and a bit of painting on the front calipers and then we put them back on after that was done...those pics in the next post...

Then I went for a drive to settle the car down a bit and see how the wheels felt! ROCK SOLID! No vibration what so ever! Excellent tracking, smooth straight breaking and excellent grip. Because of the extra weight of these wheels off the line performance seems to have suffered slightly, but it could just be a worsening of the hesitation under accel problem that we will diagnose next week...

I have not had a chance to detail the car since I got it back from the shop and it needs a dusting and bit of quick detailer. Gonna do that tonight and do a good wipe down of the wheels as well.

Thanks to Roger this will be added along with a loud and unrestricted exhaust next week (and the previously mentioned hesitation hopefully diagnosed and fixed) as well as getting the sunroof properly leveled up (it is a touch low on the rear passenger side).
