Default A Nice Pic

This is a very unique picture of a 928 for a lot of reasons. It was taken on the day of delivery in 1984, so it captures a 928 as brand new in better than showroom condition ( because of the prep for who bought it and why). It was taken on film with greater depth of field and shot by one of the best photographers in the world. It has one hell of a nice background, the playboy mansion, and one hell of a good looking owner, playmate of the year and multiple pictorial subject. A 928 as grand prize for one of Hef's favorite models at the height of Playboy, long before the internet.

The wheels have the protective coating, the tires look armoralled (if it existed then), and no rub strips. The tires have a very nice profile.

I looked for this for many years as I had seen the pic back in 84 and finally found it this year.

Marianne in her prime and her Guards Red 928 looking like a 928 looked when brand new.

(this is a 307KB file but only half size is displaying)

Oh yes, that stuff has been around since the 70's.

Unfortunately so have hammer on wheel weights They ruin the look so much. Hate those things.

Very nice pic.

So that is what an unmolested 1984 looks like. Hef did have class for sure.

Did you ever notice that cars age better than people. With a car you can just repaint and restore but with us old farts there are no spare parts or rebuilds allowed.

Kinda hoping that the leathery look will come back in style one day. A little rejuve... and cleaner, I should be good to go!

She has skinny legs. Too skinny. I like 'em thick.

The car looks great however. Looks like it has Good~Year Eagle GT's.

Thanks for posting the picture.
Is the rear stance about right?
Our 86 sits like that on similar profile tires.
I like it, but thought it was too low in the rear based on conversations at SITM.
