I would think that everything is right on this car.
I don't believe there is a picture of a 928 equal in quality to this one for the reasons already stated up top. Plus this didn't hurt the 928 image either, lots of exposure, Playboy had a very large circulation back then.
That is how Guards Red should look before it fades, that is how an OB should look new.
And not many tires look like that today it seems, see how the tire is fatter than the wheel, looks better to me, is it construction methods or tire size choice?

Tires do have a different profile, you're right. Rubstrip delete.
Its a historical picture and great reference.
Color is hard to represent on a computer, of course, but its fanatastic here.

I'd like to help ya but I don't think it would be a good idea. As I said earlier, I bought the magazine in 84, so I paid hef and now as then said to my friends look at this. But it is out on the net and not at playboy. So anyone can find it along with a zillion pics of Marianne.
