Currently, we had to "adjust" about 1/2" of each footwell outside corner to keep from using steering stops with 335/30s on 12" rims. All corners have same offset and don't need spacers. This 6 piece kit should be ready for primer in about a week. We may even throw in a 2# sledge for the footwell modification work. I'll have photos, other than my Avitar, when we're in black primer and can put the car back on the ground.

Also, in production are a new wing and front splitter. The wing will be offered for sale, but I'm not sure about the splitter (lots of variables).
Would you suggest he does this to both sides of the car?

This kit is mostly for track cars or those wanting to keep a pretty true 928 look with very wide whees on all four corners. I think it might look a little strange having just one side of the car widened.

At one point my dad salvaged two damaged Caddilacs (one hit on the left and one hit on the right) by cutting them both down the middle and welding the two halfs together. The result looked great, except from the rear. One fin went straight up and the other was at 45 degrees.

Should be a damn nice '91 when the damage is all fixed up. Since no one asked, did you get a nice deal on this car because of the damage?

Wasnt this car sold with replacement fenders and doors?

I thought this car was to be parted out and that they already had sold the transmission and engine? What happened?

Im glad to see it saved!

Is it a salvage title or clean title car?

Yes indeed ,...it came with a used black fender and a complete white door from an '86...Officially, I bought it from the ORIGINAL owner..the couple of places that were thinking about fixing it up each changed their mind...I got it by forcing my way into what was an early eBay cash deal from the side..so I justy offered more..stated that I was coming up the next Monday morning and would have cash and left a credit card as deposit..which they did not run... actually went by the dealer that sold it in '91 and talked to the Svc Mgr and he gave me the service records... I am still trying to decide whether to try and fix the door and rear quarter..already got the fender off today and looking to get the used one painted soon...then get the rest done...

J.C.....you crack me up...I started "buffing" today ..fender off...The plan is to have her ready for SITM 2010..and not to worry, the 9-something-something is for the Track and will not be seen again hovering around the Shark Tank unless Jim D. wants to drive it again...That will require a GTG in early 2010 here at the' Pool Shark Ranch'...

Well...I think this low mileage '91 GT should be worth about twice what I paid for it when I get done cleaning it all up..gonna need a fair amount of defered maintenance..just the usual...

Great car, great color! I also have a white '91GT bought this summer. It broke my heart to see this damage on a such a sculptural car...but you'll get it straight soon I hope! Greetings from Romania!

My goodness Kevin - that damage looks very minimal with that bad fender off - and that was the worst part of the damage to the car - very well bought!

Actually..the story is that a truck hit it while parked..I was trying to figure out how it was hit ..I say rear to front and the tire of the truck climbed up ontop of the fender last. The damage to the rear quarter is towards the pass. door and the right fender was compressed downward like a tire had climbed on top of it. That is one reason I trailered it home..also not running very well..bad gas..clogged filter.. ISV...also have to check the rt. front wheel and suspension for damage..lots to do I think I am gonna try and fix the door...so much work to switch doors when the damage to the door is so minor, Tell me what you think...it opens and closes perfectly now that the fender is off....Cheers, Kevin
