I have owned this 928 for approximately 1 year... I paid $13,500 and have nearly $40k invested in this project, and DO NOT want to sell...but for the sake of martial bliss I have no choice.... something has to give and divorces are pricey

The car is located in West Sacramento CA and will need to be towed, as it is not running nor street legal.

Open to all offers and will part out, if no buyer for the full car.... looking for $15k..... I plan on using the funds EXCLUSIVELY to fund my track and Lemons racing habit.....since it appears I can't afford a "real" race car according to my wife...

Heres some pics
Have you tried "It's cheaper than a mistress."

What you need to do is to put a really high price on it and let it sit for a year. Then you can bring up the argument that it is not getting sold since it is broken and need to get fixed.

Once it is fixed you'll need to book track time to give potential buyers opportunity to test drive it.

Hey Brian-

Sorry to hear about the Widow. I was looking forward to getting some track time in with you next summer.

Do you have solid idea of what it's going to cost to rehab the motor, if a complete rebuild is called for?

By the way, never quote costs in front of a wife. Around here, we speak in terms of RCUs (Race Car Units). You can assign any value you want to them, but we figure them at $100 each. So if your wife hears you say that something is going to be about 65 RCUs, (65 units, for short), she won't know you just spent her trip to Europe.

Kibort, maybe you should buy it. Stuff the stroker in there and go racing. It will save you lots of time building another car. Think of all the work you will save.

(Charley has multiple Sharks and no wife)

Society won't let a man have multiple wives ...so I think it only fair to have multiple Sharks and no wife...I am working on my third P car and no wife...I see it as only a truly free man can...

No worries I WILL be at the track more with the widow "gone".....less money to the widow means more seat time for me!!! it will just be in the lemons "budget" racer.....I figure I will buy a set of R comps to use for trackdays....otherwise it will be the same car!

I wanted this car last time around...Im sure I'll get the same answer this time also!
Im about to drop 10k on interior shutters for the dang house!

The bad :>(The engine had a 4-8 rod bearing failure for a yet undetermined reason.
So are we talking new block? new rod bearings?
Seeing as your selling Im assuming the more expensive of the two?

I lost rack of the "history" but is this failure from a recent rebuild you did? or the one on it when yo ubought it?

Awesome looking car! really is!
